Dear Mom,
It’s me, Cowabelle. Do you miss me? I miss you! I know you’re probably busy getting the Academy ready for the new school year. I have been busy too doing lots of cool stuff here. I’ve got some great ideas from Kimmy (she runs the craft room here) that maybe you could use at school!
This week she taught us how to make bird feeders out of pine cones – you cover them with peanut butter or shortening and roll them in bird seeds. It’s really simple and when we hung them up outside our cabin the birds loved them! We also made these cute pillows that you fill with leaves when you want to use them and when you’re done you just dump out the leaves and fold up your pillow and put it in your pocket!
PJ has been teaching us archery too. She is so good I don’t think any of us will be able to come even close to her epic archery skills (no matter what Sparky thinks.) PJ also has this huge pile of sacks that we will be using for the potato sack race on Games Day. I can’t wait for that!!
We went on a long hike the other day but Dacey (remember her?) fell down and cut her leg really badly! It was gross! There was so much blood I thought I was going to be sick but then Kimmy came along and cleaned it all up and bandaged it and now it doesn’t look that bad at all. I for sure thought Dacey was going to have to go to the hospital.
And someone has been playing some silly pranks at camp. Everyone says they don’t know who it is – but I know! I’m sure it’s that spoiled kid, Benny. Sparky says he’s not SO bad, but I dunno, Mom. Speaking of pranks – I helped Roberta tell the most spooktaculous ghost story EVER! While Roberta told the story, I hid in the bushes and made creepy sounds and made the lights flicker. Everyone was so freaked out – it was EPIC!
I am having so much fun here. Can’t wait to see you though!
All my love,
Cowabelle
