Know what’s fun? A picnic! We had one at lunch yesterday at camp – here’s a picture (Charles was the first Webkinz to arrive…but he was surrounded by friends in no time)!
If you’re thinking of hosting a picnic, here are some things to keep in mind:
1. Make sure you have enough blankets (or, better yet, picnic benches!) for everyone to sit on.
2. Bring along a picnic basket with cold packs to keep the cold stuff cool.
3. Don’t leave any food out in the sun for any length of time.
4. Ask everyone to bring a different dish – that way, you won’t have to do all the preparation yourself!
5. Have lots of water on hand – you want to make sure everyone stays well-hydrated.
6. Plan fun games before and after lunch. Make sure the after lunch games are a little quieter.
