Designer Elephant Blog: Sharing a Room

When Elwin and I were just little elephants, we had to share a room. It was, in some ways, SO much fun (we often talked waaaaay after we should’ve been asleep, and we always had each other for company, in case we got scared at night). In other ways, though, it was more difficult. Elwin snores, so that was slightly less than awesome. And I’m a total neat-freak, while he’s MUCH messier. In other words, we drove each other crazy.

When my family moved to our new house, we each got our own room (hooray!). I was talking to my friend Amanda Panda the other day and she told me a similar story – except that she still shares a room with her little sister, Polly. On the plus side, their mom and dad offered to pay for a room makeover. So Elwin and Hailey to the rescue!

This is the room Amanda and Polly used to share:

The biggest problem Elwin and I saw was one we used to have – clutter, clutter, clutter! Polly is (as you can probably tell) a voracious reader. Amanda, on the other hand, adores music and crafting. There’s just waaaaay too much going on in this room – so we made a few adjustments, and…

This is the room Elwin and I created for them! Now Polly can study and read and Amanda can be crafty and listen to music – and with the dividers, it’s ALMOST like they each have their own room – awesome!

Today’s lesson: a little shelving goes a long way!

I wish we could move doors around or even get rid of some,so we can design our rooms better.

Wish there was enough cash to buy all these fancy rooms. Expensive to buy pets just to earn cash!!

I like the old one best, personally. It’s more original, and looks very cozy.
Can you show us the bedroom you used to share? I’d like to see a new room at least once a day!

I actually kinda dig the new room! The old one was WAY too cluttered. Understandable, considering that the two sisters share a room… 

I have a question for all Warrior fans:
I am reading the books for the first time. I just finished the first one but my library doesn’t have any others in the main series, but they did have the three books that are in the sub-series Omen of the Stars. Will I miss something if I start reading those books or are they the kind of books where you can read them in any order.
      Thanks, Cyrene

      People have different perspectives…
I, on the other-hand, do not care for the second room.
It looks to like theres too many odd and ends….Like I couple pieces from the winter theme, and some from the coffee pink theme, and some from the funky girl theme. Its just too miss-matched for my liking….but I do like the bookshelves.

This is great, since webkinz do not come with rooms anymore whe you adopt them, i did not have enough money to buy 2 rooms, so i got 1 large room cause the other sizes are to small, i just adopted two ptets. A sister and a brother have to share a room. Haily pleeeasse help. the room is so clutter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help!!!!!!!!!! The brother likes football and rock music. and the girl loves bunnies and tea parties and pop music!!!! sooo clutter with poster and the room dividers had to be two differtn colors. Oh, and my pets are a cinnamom dashhound and a cotton candy bunny.
