Hey there! Young documentary film maker and reporter Nibbles here with some GREAT ideas for winter activities!

  1. Stunning Sculptures – Get your friends together and challenge them each to make a sculpture out of snow. Get bottles of water colored with food coloring and have your friends color their sculptures. At the end, you can vote for which one everyone likes best!
  2. Snow Fort Building – Build a snow fort with your friends and furnish it with twigs, fallen branches, rocks, ice cubes – anything you can think of to make it look really fancy!
  3. Sled Races – Find a hill and race your friends down it! Be careful to keep enough distance between you, and make sure to check out the hill for stumps or rocks ahead of time. Also, make sure to choose a hill that’s away from the road.
  4. Make Snow Angels – There’s nothing quite like flopping down in the snow and making some pretty snow angels!
  5. Make Fancy Ice – Get a bucket or pail and fill it full of water. Add things like twigs, leaves or rocks. Leave the bucket outside to freeze. When your ice is frozen, take it out of the bucket and you’ve got yourself a pretty outdoor decoration!

  2. blahblah says:

cool!! one time, i rolled a gigantic snowball and sat on top of it. it was that big. i love making snow angels. but i was thinking, if someone who lives somewhere there is no snow, how r they going to participate? they’re r going to get jealous. we should make some games where everyone regardless of where they live can participate. right everyone? :D

What great ideas! It is suppose to snow here tomorrow night. I hope it does!!

  4. Hanako says:

If you don’t have snow(but it’s still cold or even if it’s not) here are some ideas:
*Make a fort inside(using blankets, pillows, books, furniture, etc.)-be sure to ask a parent. =)
*Make a snow fort for your webkinz(cardboard, shoe boxes, and paper for more permanent ones & books and other things, like chairs, for ones you have to take down.
*Make some hot chocolate and have biscuits or marshmallows! =) You could also have cold chocolate milk
    *Play on webkinz
*Have races with your friends. ‘
And their ideas(even if it hasn’t really snowed yet where I live) sound fun!

Darn… Florida doesn’t get snow :P Oh well! I agree, Krystallkat. They should have some things to do without snow, like maybe climbing trees or flying a kite. But if I had snow, those would all be great ideas that I would use!!! Isthatafact that’s cool! It sounds like a fun idea  Lillyluvie you’re lucky you get snow to do all those things!

Love your hat, Nibbles! Cool ideas, but we don’t get snow. But we used to make nature candles by digging a hole in the snow or sand (at the beach), adding anything you wanted–twigs, rocks, moss, feathers, shells, whatever you could find–and then carefully pouring melted wax into the hole. Lots of fun to make, and they are lovely to display or give as gifts. Hmmm, I wonder if I still have my candle-making stuff. . . ?
