Getting Ready for the Big City

Hey, it’s Nibbles. I’m pretty excited about going to the Big City, but I was kind of worried because Ms. Cowoline said that there would be four kids to each room. The thing is, almost everyone had asked Molly if she wanted to share with them so it looked like it was going to be Cowabelle, Polly, Salley and Molly in one room and Roberta isn’t coming after all so I was going to have to share with Purr-cilla, Janice and Penelope. I know that Pur-cilla’s been a bit nicer since we all went to her birthday, but still – I wasn’t exactly crazy about the fact that I would be rooming with them instead of my friends.

But it turns out there is a very good reason that everyone loves hanging out with Molly. She took one look at the room listings and said “No way.” She went straight to Ms. Cowoline and said that we needed to rework the room arrangements because I was one of her best friends and she wanted to make sure that all the ‘Kinz got a chance to room together. Ms. Cowoline said that Molly was perfectly right and then she asked how we would all feel if she drew names for roommates. Everyone said that was okay so that’s what she did. In the end I got to share with Molly (hooray!), Penelope and Salley. And Polly and Cowabelle ended up with Purr-cilla and Janice. I’m so glad I get to share with my friends!

Actually, I’m still in school until Monday, when I graduate. The other kids stay until Thursday. It seems to be different in other states, and other countries. It seems in Canada, where I live, we get out later but also go back later. In the US, some kids get out in May but some get out when I do. It varies depending on where you live. Not everyone gets out at the same time.

Good job at being a good friend Molly! That’s what friends are SUPPOSED to do.

That’s great you get to stay with your friends, but remember to include Penelope and the others, too! I know they aren’t very nice, but maybe if you try to show kindness to them and be a good example they’ll be nice in return. It may not work that way, but it’s best to try and be good influence, anyway, you never know how big an impact you’re really making. ~~O~SapphireSea~*~*~

I agree Dragonfish. I got out May 25, but that is unusually early. I love Molly! She is so nice. Before didn’t they say that it was two people to a room? Remorso11

Wow, glad it worked out. I had a similar problem about a week ago when my friends and I were making room choices for a trip we’re going on in the fall. It’s a little weird that you guys are still in school. I got out like two weeks ago. Anyways, have fun guys! (*(*dragonfish*)*)

Glad to hear it worked out okay. That was a good idea for drawing out names, it always make everything fairer. Mind you, I was kind of worried about everyone wanting to room with Molly. Hopefully, Cowabelle didn’t complain. She always wants her way. Sometimes I do something similar to this, I play rock-paper-scissors. Whoever wins gets to pick what we’re doing. ~§ugªrC☼met✽

Yeah, I think it was a good idea to draw names as well. I guess they didn’t have as many problems with the boys? I really don’t see the educational value in this trip. My schools that I have been to, (I’ve switched around schools a lot, but never changed states, don’t ask) they have always had more educational trips. But I guess they have been fun, too :) One time we went to the Space and Rocket Center, it was really fun. They even had some stuff from a movie there :) But the big city trip sounds fun, too! I just wish we knew what they were doing. ~~Rainbow*Rain~~
