Elwin here. Okay – so Hailey and I were invited to redecorate some of the rooms in the camp before the kids arrived this summer. We decided to start with the Mess Hall. I think when you see it, you’ll understand why!
Wow! This is the mess hall for a CAMP? What a mess! Where are the rustic touches? This is more like an industrial cafeteria than a camp mess hall. I find the colors much too cool to create the ‘home away from home’ atmosphere that kids need when they’re separated from the places they are accustomed to. And that floor! How unappetizing! The way the tables are arranged is very disjointed. There is no rhyme or reason to it. This room needs a total overhaul to create a warm haven where kids can gather to enjoy their meals.
Now this is more like it! When we pulled up those bold tiles we were thrilled to discover this attractive Light Pine Wood Flooring beneath. Much more calming and better suited to a camp in the middle of the woods. Warm wooden Country Home Dining Tables and comfy Country Home Dining Chairs give this room a nice homey feeling. And by bringing the tables together in a more uniform fashion, we have created an opportunity for more kids to mingle and have conversations. We brought in a couple of larger, more accessible fridges – the Delicious Drinks Refreshment Coolers – so the kids can help themselves to beverages and fruit. And we added some quaint touches like the Antique Store Clock and Scales. Finally, the Hidden Bounty Barrel dresser finishes the room nicely with a rugged woodsy accent.
i like the second one better becouse it’s a camp and you need it to be woodsy and cozy to make a GOOD camp, so this is defiden’tly a good camp!
I HAVE 14 webkinz in my acount
I really like the first one better.
I have almost 60,000 Kinzcash, and I want to redo my home. These are some good ideas, dont you think?
