Healthy Snack: Applesauce

 

 

 

 

 

 

What you need:

-          2 red apples

-          2 teaspoons sugar

-          1 tablespoon lemon juice

-          An adult assistant to help you with this recipe

What you do:

Peel and core your apples and have your adult assistant cut them into small pieces.

Put the pieces into a blender and add the lemon juice and sugar. Puree until the mixture is smooth.

This is a quick and healthy version of traditional cooked applesauce.

    I’ve made home-made applesause before, but with cinnamon, not lemon juice. It tasted delicious, especially when it was warm!
