What you need:

-          Two large bandannas

-          Needle and thread

-          Dry leaves

What you do:

Put the two bandannas together and sew around the edges, leaving about a four inch opening in one side. Stuff your pillow with dry leaves. Leave the opening so that you can remove leaves when you want to wash your pillow and replace it with new leaves.

Now you have a pillow that folds up easily for carrying but makes a comfortable seat around the campfire!

You can also use pine needles to fill the inside of the pillow to sit on. That is what I always used in girl scouts and at home as we have a pine forest behind our house. It smells nice too!

Hey. Wouldn’t the leaves just crumble until it was like sitting on nothing?

I would use cotton balls too, but I think they used dry leaves because it’s more outdoorsy. And, I think it’s the only thing to use around camp. It would be the only thing to find…

When you are camping, there is no poly fiberfill or cotton batting or filling. Probably no straw either. Just leaves. Very cute camp idea!
