Love Dino Contest Winners

Congratulations to Camryn, Michelle, Leah, Hannah and Veronica! They’ve each been sent a Secret Code for an eStore exclusive Love Dino. We wanted to know how the Love Dino celebrated Valentine’s Day. Read the winning entries below.

The Love Dino had a very magical Valentine’s day. She started the day by sleeping.”Wake up!” her little sister shouted in her ear, waking her up.”It is Valentine’s day, we have a lot planned!” “Is Mom up?” she asked. “No, but I was thinking we could make a cake, using that heart shaped pan.” So they spent the morning making a cake and listening to love songs on the radio. They tried to make the cake blue, but it looked purple/green, a really nasty color. They accidentally added almond extract instead of vanilla so the frosting tasted almond-ish.”It is a lovely new flavor,” their Mom said. After that they headed to the old-people’s home to give out hand-made valentines to the patients, and after they finished that they went out on a family walk. At the end of the day, when they finished watching a family movie and eating their Valentine’s day cake, her Mom gave her and her little sister a nice big box of chocolate hearts. “What a day. I love my family,” the Love Dino said as she went to bed. - Camryn

The Love Dino had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! First, he woke up to find beautiful and nice smelling flowers everywhere. Then when he got dressed, he found new red clothes to wear. His pancakes were waiting on the table for him, shaped like hearts with strawberry syrup on the side. This was his favorite breakfast so he knew this would be a great start to his day. While considering what he would do with his day he enjoyed smelling his flowers and thought of a great idea. He would spend his entire day passing out flowers to everyone he loved. Everyone was so happy to receive their flower that they each gave him a great big hug in return. This gave him a chance to share something beautiful and receive more love on such a special day. You see, Valentine’s Day wasn’t just another holiday to the Love Dino…it was his birthday! He gives and receives so much love on that special day, that it lasts him the whole year through. On Valentine’s Day, Love Dino went to go visit his true love, Eluvant, who lived all the way in Eleville. Eleville was miles and miles away, but Love Dino knew that since he truly cared about her, he would take the long trip. It took him hours until he finally arrived. When he did, he gave Eluvant her Valentine candies and said, “Happy Valentine’s Day, Eluvant! I really care about you! I love you!” and when Eluvant heard him say those words, they embraced in a tight hug. Eluvant decided to go live with Love Dino in Kinzville. Who knew Valentine’s Day could be that exciting! - Leah

Last year, the Love Dino did not celebrate Valentine’s Day at all because she was love-sick. All her friends came to visit her on Valentine’s Day and they gave her gifts, chocolate, and heart-shaped balloons. She was so touched by her friend’s kindness that she wanted to do something nice for them. So this year, the Love Dino made heart-shaped cards, bought delicious chocolate, and made rose bouquets to give to all of her dear friends. A few days before Valentine’s Day, she sent out heart-shaped invitations for a party at her house. When her friends arrived, they were amazed at how gorgeous her house looked with balloons and paper hearts everywhere! After having chocolates and pink lemonade, she gave them their gifts. They smiled and gasped, and told her just how much they loved her. Some of her friends apologized for not getting her a gift. But to the Love Dino, being with all her friends and knowing that she was loved, was the best gift anyone could ever receive. - Hannah

Normally nobody in Dina’s family ever celebrated Valentine’s Day. It was treated like every other day. But this year, Dina wanted to change things around. She wanted to make Valentine’s Day bigger than any other holiday… bigger than Christmas, bigger than Webkinz Day! So she did. She would hold a surprise party. A HUGE surprise party! She got to work. She rented a party room, made pretty decorations, prepared invitations, prepared games and prizes and snacks, and did this all secretly in her bedroom so nobody would find out. She hid supplies and finished projects under her bed. Once she finally finished, on February 13th, she hopped into bed excitedly for the next day. She woke up the next day and zoomed to her party room (Luckily Valentine’s Day was on a Sunday that year so no school)! With all the decorations in her hand, she barely managed to open the door and… “SURPRISE!” Her family made a huge Valentine’s party for her!
