Molly and Millie Move Out

Okay, so far so good. Millie and I have just finished dragging our sleeping bags and pillows up to the treehouse. You know, there’s more space in here than I thought. With both of our beds set up there’s still a little room to move around. I’ve got a pile of books and some paper, and Millie even grabbed a small twig from the ground and she propped it up in the corner of the treehouse and decorated it with some tinsel and stuck a tin foil star on top.

Millie is pretty happy – she’s got all her stuffed toys tucked into her sleeping bag right now – but she does keep asking me why we moved out again. I know she doesn’t really get it. Millie gets along really well with our cousins so she can’t figure out why I don’t want them all staying here this Christmas. But why would I want about a million little kids running around, drawing ugly pictures of me on my bedroom wall? Oh, Millie. Someday you’ll understand.

Anyway, it’s really starting to shape up in – uh oh. I think that’s my mom calling us. Hang on.

*Sigh* Gotta go. I’ve got to pack up all this stuff and drag it back into the house now. It doesn’t help that when my mom was looking for us, Millie happily called out to her that we were living in the treehouse from now on, and that according to me there were no cousins allowed. I got a little lecture about ‘the importance of family’ and then she took Millie in to warm up by the fire with her stuffies so now I have to clean up in here myself.

DDRGirl, I know, I would probably say this: “No, not right now sweetie, maybe next year.” That would hold you off for a year….

Ah, Molly! Sorry about the difficulty. Hope that everything soon gets better and that the visit is surpisingly wonderful! Good luck getting all the work done moving everything back.

I understand how you feel entirely! I have a 5 year old cousin that actually tries to torture us! She threw my glasses at the wall once, and tried punching me in the stomach when I politely asked her to pick up the mess she made out of anger! When she tried punching, I caught her wrist before she could punch me, and then she started kicking! :’( And I’m going to have to see her a few times or more this Christmas. :( Yep, I have extreme sympathy for you Molly!

i can see why you don’t want them comming. just becuase you didn’t get along with them before they might be better now. besides i have two one year old cousins a six month old cousin and another one on the way and i love all of them to death whenever i get the chance to see them i am super excited.

Molly, I know that it doesn’t seem like it now but someday you’ll look back at all these crazy family memories and smile about them…yes, probably even the ugly pictures of you. Time has a way of softening the hard things you live through and makes it easier to remember the good times. I’m the youngest in my family and was always sad when my older sisters and cousins didn’t want me “hanging around cause I was too little for any fun.” Those words can hurt just as much as the ugly pictures.

I have SO much pity for you Molly. But maybe you can work it out somehow. You could tell those little kids that if they’re really good and don’t go anywhere near your bedroom (which could be your hideout, and your friends could come over too so they’ll feel like there’s a lot of older people who are in charge) they’ll each earn a piece of candy. Hopefully you can make it work! ;)

I can feel her pain my cousin is coming from Tennesee and he is oddly very girly. I can run faster than him. We are only 2 yrs. apart. My other cousin runs faster and he is 7.(he is younger than the one from Tennesee)

Hey, try to make things work molly. You are a really good friend, but you are going overboard on this one. It is so cold, and you can’t live up in a tree house! I mean try to be buddies with them, and then they will not want to do something to you! This is what I always do! It works every time for me! Just try to put up with them plaese!

I kinda know how u feel though!!! I have a lot of cousins and things (my grandma has 8 sibblings) but I’ve only met some of them since they live in germany. But in my close family (cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles, mom’s cousin’s kids) The person closest to my age is . . . my sister. And same for her. Besides me the closest person to her age is like 5 years younger than her. My little sister has 3 her age and there are four boys around 10. There are also 2 little ones so i usually take care of them. But I get along with the boy cousins that are a few years younger than me so it’s not that bad. Then my older sister is NOT a social butterfly so . . . she just stays with the adults.

i get along well with all my cousins. but they would be punished if they drew pics on another persons wall, ESPECIALLY in permanent marker.

Good luck, Molly! You’ll be fine! ~*Dawn*~

    • foopetsrock says:

I must admit that Molly’s situation isn’t the best. Just try and stay with the grown-ups maybe and chat. Or, u could hide in your room or something. Its probably not that bad…
