Ms. Cowoline here with a very exciting announcement for my dear students! On January 11, we are going to take a break from learning and spend a day enjoying the winter weather with physical fitness! Yes, we’re having a snow fun day. So if you’re interested in sports – or just running around in the snow – you’re going to have a stellar time! I am interested to hear what kind of sports and activities you’d all like to do, so I’m going to put a suggestion box outside of my office. I can’t wait to read the things you come up with!

I LOVE to SLED of coarse! I don’t just sled anywhere. I only sled on huge hills that make you go as fast as possible (for a sled.) The only bad side is that it takes FOREVER to climb back up the hill and i get tired doing it once much less 10 or more times! It’s still fun though (untill you get snow in your pants.) I also like to build snowmen and make igloos (igloos? yah, I like to make igloos…. out of snow not ice; where i live we don’t have ice in excess.) i like to slip and slide on the ice (i don’t fall…. usually.) i like to make snow angels too! i like to have snowball fights (more than i like to be squirt with water when i’m dry…. but i digress.)

Last year at our winter carnival we had a silly obstacle course. It wasn’t hard not really just the snow made it a crazy mixed up funny game. We were trying to hula hoop in snow higher than our knees, trying to use these cup like stilts and the pavement was snow covered, we had to make snowballs (large ones) and if they weren’t big enough we had to start over (we didn’t throw them). I know we had other things in the obstacle course but those are the ones I remember. We were all laughing so hard no one did very well but it was so much fun so no one cared about winning.
