Plumpy’s wedding prep – flowers and makeup!

Wiggles Pig here. Oh readers, I think Plumpy is starting to get a bit nervous. She keeps calling me to remind me of how much there still is to do. But I’m not worried. We’ve got everything under control.

But I did think she could use a break so I arranged for us to meet with Persephone today to help Plumpy choose her make up for the wedding. What could be more relaxing than lying back in a lounger and letting someone else apply make-up to your face, right?

At least, that’s what I thought. But it hasn’t exactly gone according to plan. Everything that Persephone does, Plumpy says “Too much! Too much!” I totally get it. I finally pulled Persephone aside and explained that Plumpy just wants a really natural, understated look for her wedding. Persephone is pretty flashy so it took a bit of coaxing, but at the end of the afternoon, Plumpy looked perfect: soft blue eyeshadow to complement her skin tones and shimmering pink lipstick that picked up the color in the sash from her dress exquisitely.

Of course, it hadn’t exactly been the relaxing experience I’d hoped for but I knew that our next stop would perk her up. We went and picked out the flowers.

The good news? Plumpy agreed with me that pink peonies were an ideal choice. They’re pink, like her dress. They’re round and full and gorgeous, just like her! We were in total agreement.

The bad news? While we were at the nursery, a bee flew out of the peonies and stung Plumpy right in the face. Now her eye has swelled up. Did I mention that she kind of freaked?

But no worries, right? We put a little ice on it and the swelling started to go down. And there’s plenty of time ‘til the wedding!

Hi! Hey ShapphireSea, yes it is true that bee stings can be horrible, i’ve never been stung by one before though, but bees, if u look on the bright side, r very interesting. Its amazing how those little guys fight to survive! and do u know how much honey 1 bee makes in its life time? Only about one spoonful! There r a bunch of jobs 1 little bee does. They clean the hive, act as nurses for the young bees, they guard the hive, they scout for flowers, and they build the hive! and once a bee stings, it can never sting again. They only live for about 8 weeks or something, because a be can carry about two times its own weigh. And the wings about 10 times, i think. So since the wings carry such heavy loads, they start breaking after a while and the bee cant fly anymore. I think that bees r really facinating little creatures! well, if anyone would like to know more about bees, let me know! The Laterose of Noonvale
