Polly and Booger: A Difference of Opinion

Hey, it’s Polly. I just got back from a bike ride ALONE.

Last week, Booger and I talked about getting together and doing something. I love biking and I thought it would be great for us to go out exploring, maybe see if there are any trails near the new Adventure Park. But when I showed up at Booger’s house he had a different idea. He wanted to go to a movie. In the middle of the day! A beautiful, sunny day!! I said that was a waste of a day and that we could go to the movies one evening or on a rainy day. Booger said he really wanted to see some new Sci-fi movie and that riding bikes was nothing but hard work.

Hard work???

But it’s gorgeous outside – the sun is shining and the leaves are just starting to turn on the trees. There are whole new areas of Webkinz World to discover. And it’s not like we were going to be cycling up any mountains or anything. It’s Kinzville, not the Tour de France! I told Booger there was no way I was sitting in a dark cinema all afternoon. He said I was only thinking of myself and that it was my loss because he’d been planning to share his jumbo buttered popcorn, extra large root beer and TWO bags of SuperMega Toothbusters with me.Blech! I told him I wouldn’t eat all that junk if he paid me and you know what? He just slammed the door in my face! I guess I WAS getting kind of testy with him – but what was he thinking? Does he really eat like that all the time? And who would rather spend a nice sunny day stuck inside than outside riding bikes?

I’m sure Booger and I will still be friends after this, but sometimes I just don’t GET him, you know?
