Postcard from the Tour Bus

Hey Hail!

Ugh! Life on the tour bus isn’t exactly what I had imagined. Remember I told you about that amazing chef we had travelling with us who will make me whatever I want? Well, it’s not much good having your own personal chef when you just feel nauseous the whole time.

Remember when we were younger and we used to go on car trips with Mom and Dad and I always felt carsick? Apparently nothing’s changed much since then. I spend the whole time we’re travelling either sitting by an open window trying to get fresh air or lying on my bunk trying to sleep.

Last night after our practice (which went pretty well aside from the fact that singing and dancing doesn’t exactly help my queasiness) Dacey stopped by my dressing room to wish me luck on the tour. I guess I was looking pretty green because she asked what was wrong. When I told her she offered me this bracelet that is supposed to help with motion sickness. She says that she uses them all the time because she has to travel around so much for work.  I don’t know if it will help but at this point I’m willing to try anything.

Later!

Love,

El

I used to get car sick too, then my Mom said to sit u in the front seat, don’t try and read just listen to music and try to sleep and that kinda helped. Hope it works for you, Good luck on tour!!!

Poor Elwin, I know how you feel I use to get car sick alot. I find that if I eat ginger snap cookies the day before any trip and the day of and during the trip with some ginger tea it helps alot. Hope this helps too. Feel better soon lilspring

I know how it feels to be carsick. I used to get carsick ALL the time!

  4. jennifer says:

I too still get car sick in the back seat of a car or back of a bus. Sit in the very front seat or better yet drive. I know your to young and don’t have a liscense. Really though, driving yourself is the only thing that’s going to “cure” car sickness. It’s all in the eyes. That’s why sleeping helps, but you actually have to sleep, not just nap. Good luck. jennifer

Aww! Poor Elwin! I hope you feel better soon! Oh, cool! Dacey gave you a placebo affect bracelet!

  6. Love Staffordshires says:

I get carsick only when my dad is driving somewhere as fast as he can, such as the airport even if we’re just picking someone up and he does it all in a panic which is annoying.

  7. SMN says:

Poor Elvin :( Try to sit in the front of the bus. Hope I helped! Trust me I get carsick ALL the time, It is not fun, AT ALL. Hope the bracelet helps! :) -SMN

Poor Elwin :( I get carsick all the time and believe me it’s not fun :( But when i do get carsick i try to fall asleep or(if i’m sort of hungry) I try eating something(it helps the stomach).

I STILL get carsick. And Katzndawz is right. Sitting near the front always helps ( I don’t know why though)! And I gotta admit……. That was awkward….. LOL!

  10. Katzndawz says:

Poor Elwin, I know how you feel, I used to get carsick as a child. It is not fun. Hopefully the bracelet will work. Try to sleep too, that always helped me. Also try riding in the front of the bus. Good luck on tour.

I get carsick on planes if its really cold and i have been in it to long for me

      • Chicago Made says:

I’m sorry to hear that, Elwin. I hope the bracelet works, and hope you start to fee better. I really don’t ever get carsick, and I don’t think I ever have before. My sister and my brother has though. I’m the only one in the family who hasn’t gotten carsick. Elwin, I hope things start to turn out good for you, and hope you will feel better. ~ⒸⓗⓘⓒⓐⓖⓞㄨⓂⓐⓓⓔ

        • Electro Made says:

Chicago Made, how is that even possible? I have to admit that you’re the first person I’ve heard from that has never been carsick. And kind of weird that you’re the only one who hasn’t been carsick…in your family. I’ve been carsick before, and it still goes on with me, but not very much. Elwin, I’m really sorry to hear about that, and I hope you start to feel better. Hopefully the bracelet helps. :) I can’t even handle planes, or boats. Cars and trains are fine. I don’t enjoy planes, because your ears start to pop, and I don’t like that feeling. Being carsick isn’t so fun, I know that for a fact. -Eϟectro Made ✘

@Electro Made – Yeah, same here – I don’t like planes either. Boats, cars, and trains are fine for me, and I think they’re cool. :) Eliwn, I’m really sorry to hear about that. :( I hope you start to feel better. BTW, @Electro Made – Can you add me? My username is SpringAwakening2012. ;) -Paranormal Scene✺✹✸✷ ✶✵

          • Time Bandit...fond of planes says:

I’ve only been sick once on a plane, and that was because I had an allergic reaction. I prefer planes, because my dad never stops the car for anything. I have sat in the car non-stop for thirteen hours before, and that is no fun at all

          • Webkinz User says:

Yeah, I know that it isn’t fun at all to get carsick, @Time Bandit. So, your dad wouldn’t stop the car for anything? What if you had to use the restroom, or something? I’ve sat in a car longer than 15 hours before, and it really wasn’t the best ride ever. I’ve never gotten carsick though, to be honest. @Electro Made – Can you add me? ;) ~ⒸⓗⓘⓒⓐⓖⓞㄨⓂⓐⓓⓔ

We had to replace his car seat after each trip

Right on Chicago made! last year my family and i went on vacation and it was a 16 hr. drive(one way that is) and i can agree it’s awful being in a car that long(your legs get extremely cramped).

          • Chicago Made says:

Yeah, I’ve been in a car for at least 19 or 20 hours before, and it wasn’t so fun. I didn’t enjoy it either. It was when I was on vacation though, and my parents weren’t the type to ride trains and planes. I’ve been on a plane before, and it was 3 years ago. I don’t even enjoy planes though, or trains. Cars aren’t so bad, it just depends on how long your driving, and the loongest was 19 or 20. ~ⒸⓗⓘⓒⓐⓖⓞㄨⓂⓐⓓⓔ

          • The green ninja says:

I’ve been carsick TONS of times. D: One of the worst of them was when we were driving to our campsite once. It felt queasy so my mom had to pull over. I walked around, but we were on a hill, so it just made it worse. So my brother got me a big, fluffy blanket, and after a while, I felt better. being carsick makes me lose my focus. The green ninja, out. PEACE!

        • ke8o❤ says:

@ Chicago Made —- yeah I have never gotten carsick before or on a boat, plane, or train. My oldest brother always gets carsick if he sits in the back of the car if we drive for four hours or something . Yeah he usually drives :) lol —- ke8o❤

Sometimes I get car sick, but it has to be a VERY long trip to have that happen. I wonder if the bracelet will really help or she just told you that to make it seem like it would help and that way you would believe it. Hmmmmmmmmm…. Crazed Always, ☊FunkinessCraze☮
