This is my latest addition to the treat bags I’m making my class. They are going to LOVE these!

What you need: pencils, ribbon, cardstock, one-hole punch, thin ribbon, beads

What you do:

  1. For each pencil, cut a piece of ribbon about six inches long.
  2. Tie the ribbon around the top of the pencil (right below the eraser part). Make sure it’s secure (tie a knot).
  3. On one end of the ribbon, string a few beads. Tie a knot to keep them in place.
  4. Cut out hearts from the cardstock (one per pencil). On each heart, write “You’re all write, Valentine!” Punch one hole in each heart.
  5. On the other end of the ribbon, thread on the cardstock heart. Add beads to the bottom of the ribbon and tie a knot to keep it all in place.
