Hi, it’s Roberta. Guess what? We had a math test yesterday and you are never going to believe who aced it – ME!!!! I only had a few days warning and I still did really well. That’s because Cowabelle taught me a trick for preparing for tests that makes it (almost) painless.
You know how Cowabelle said that every day after school she does 30 minutes of homework? Well, say I don’t have that much homework, and I’m done in 20 minutes. I’m not supposed to just go off and play. I need to use that extra ten minutes to make study notes. Cowabelle gave me a stack of blank index cards like the kind she uses, and whatever I’ve been working on, math, or science or French, I make myself flash cards while it’s fresh in my mind. This way I have study aids all ready to go when the teacher announces a test. And when she does announce a test coming up, I use any extra homework time to make up my own review sheets. Cowabelle said that making my own review sheets is a really good way to study because her mom told her that you can only make up your own questions if you actually understand the material. That means that just MAKING the review sheets is a form of studying itself! Then, when the time for the test comes, I have the review sheets for practice as well as the flash cards, so a week or so before a test, I spend at least ten minutes a night testing myself with flash cards, or filling out one of my review sheets.
Even though I only had a couple of days to study, I guess with all the time I spent making all those flash cards and review sheets, the information must have stuck in my brain because the test yesterday wasn’t even that hard. Wow! I never thought I would hear myself say that!
I’m gona go wit YESSSS!!! {‘} <- This is a cyclops penguin. LOL!

Thank you so much for the study tips, Roberta! :) I’ve never really learned how to study properly, even though I’m in college, and your tips will help me! :)
I’m Homeschooled!
ME TO!
Congratulations, Roberta! Hard work always pays off!
I do not have very many tests
:)
Lightpapa + webkinz!
Congrats on the new habits paying off so quickly.
How unusual that you have over a week to know what’s on a test.
We take tests every Tuesday & Friday on the work we just covered.
So only finals would benefit from those study aids.
Whay to go Roberta!! You rock!! I am homeschooled. Who else is also homeschooled? *Peace, Love and Hope, Icewolf*
Cool! I’m homeschooled too! ;-)
