Hey everyone! Roberta here with a bit of a funny story to share. So Molly dropped Millie off yesterday because she had to head to the library with Polly, and I (foolishly?) agreed to babysit while she was gone. Everything started off great! I told Millie that we were going to make our very own ice pops. She was super-excited! I told her that we were going to put some berries, yogurt and sugar into the blender and mix it up. She added the ingredients, but I realized that we didn’t have quite enough sugar. I told her to wait a sec while I got it from the pantry.
Unfortunately, Millie didn’t quite understand.
And that’s why she pressed the ‘blend’ button while I was out of the room.
And while the lid was noticeably missing from the blender.
And that’s why part of the kitchen wall is now a very nice violet-pink color.
Anyway, I cleaned up as best I could and we tried the recipe again (with me standing right next to Millie the WHOLE time) and thankfully the pops turned out fantastically.
My mom wasn’t too thrilled about the new wall color, but I figure it’ll fade in time…right?
If you want to give the recipe a try, here’s what you need!
1 cup of berries (we used strawberries and raspberries, washed and cut up)
1 cup plain yogurt
1/8 cup white sugar
What you do:
- Put the ingredients into a blender. Put the lid on and blend them.
- Pour the mixture into small paper cups or an ice pop mold. Add sticks to the cups or mold.
- Put the pops in the freezer and leave them for several hours to freeze.
- When the pops are frozen, take them out of the mold or cups and eat up!
I have red rock 4 trade I need Pancho’s shawl!
My mom would really not like the wall color.all the walls are white.but that’s pretty wierd considering the carpets are either red or blue.any way,at least I am usually the one being babysat, not the babysitter.Who would leave my in charge!?:)
Yum! Thanks for the recipe Roberta! Millie can be a pain sometimes.
What a HOOT! I wonder if Millie will always be this “enthusiastic” :) To Roberta: I tried the fruit pops, and they are awesome! I used strawberries and strawberry yogurt. :)
me and my mom often make these, except we just pour orange juice, apple juice, or fruit punch into some popsicle holders, then put them in the freezer for a few hours. ~*blossom sky*~
Oh I know how it’s like. I have 3 little brothers and sisters, and 1 baby sister that thankfully doesn’t cause as much trouble. Yet. ♥
Wow. What a mess! ~CC~
These sound great! My cousin and I used to make ice pops with whatever we found in the fridge–yogurt, blackberries, strawberries, orange juice, lemon-lime soda–whatever there was went in. They were the most fun to make and delicious to eat! Good thing my aunt was a good sport about us raiding the fridge, HA! :-)
Ooo yum!!!!! And right now I`m eating a ice cream sandwich!!!!!!
