I have been thinking a lot about Earth Day and what I can do. There are so many activities going on that day. I know I want to participate, but I just want to make sure that whatever I do really has an impact, you know?
There is a 5 mile walk being organized in the Big City (but that is kind of far from here) as well as tree planting in the Caring Valley. The W Shop and Ms. Birdy’s Adoption Center are teaming up to give out cloth diapers to new parents and there is also going to be a recycling event at Kinzville Park.
These are all really cool events that will help raise awareness about taking care of our planet. I’m just not sure exactly how I want to contribute. Whatever I do I want it to be really noticeable and make a real difference to Kinzville.
Remember not littering is helping as much as picking up litter. Just work to keep your own yard clean and neat and your neighbors might neaten up their yards and before you know it the whole neighborhood is neater. It doesn’t have to be big, just so it’s something. jennifer
That’s good to care for the earth! I will be picking up trash at the Kinzville Park on that day too!
Sally, I love how you think. But it doesn’t really matter to other people what kind of thing you do, as long as you help the Earth. The only voice you have to listen to is your own. What do you want to do? Something big? You can do that, but just remember that as long as you’re helping the Earth, everyone is going to appreciate it. ~WebkinzEmily~
do tree planting we always need more trees
Wow. Diapers. Interesting, but you ARE my favorite ‘Kinz! You’ll do something, and I know it’ll be great! *~Ruchirock~*
Salley, you are so great to care about the planet! I understand you wanting to do something big that makes a difference you can really see. But please remember that every volunteer makes a difference! One way to make whatever you do bigger is to inspire others to join you volunteering. Good luck!
I SO LOVE YOUR SHIRT SALLY!!!!!!!!!!
I think that you should do all of them if you can! I think that I am going to go to the kinsville park to pick up trash. Have fun Sally!
Thank you Drogonfish but what kind of prizes? like in real life or in Webkinz World prizes? your Earth your Star its Earth Star
Hi Salley (: Here’s a fun idea! What about planting a special garden at school? You could ask Ms Cowoline for a place on the school yard that would be good. You could have a sign made that it was planted in celebration of Earth Day, too! It’s a project that you could keep going all year long –you could plant pretty flowers now and the rotate in some vegetables later to share with the community. It would be some work, but it would be worth it in my opinion! Have fun with the project you choose! ♥
