Booger’s Space Camp Craft – Rocket

What you need:

-          2 litre pop bottle with lid

-          Cardboard

-          Scissors

-          Duct tape

-          Funnel

-          Bicycle pump

-          Adult assistant with a drill

What you do:

1. Make sure your bottle is clean and dry.

2. Have your assistant drill a hole into the lid of the bottle just large enough to fit the tip of your bicycle pump and put the lid back on the bottle.

3. With your cardboard, cut out three right angle triangles, six inches high and three inches across. These will be the wings of your rocket and also the stand (the top of the bottle is going to be the bottom of your rocket.)

4. With duct tape attach the wings at equal distances around the neck of your bottle so that the wide end of the triangle sticks up one and a half inches or so above the top of the bottle.

5. Turn your rocket upside down and attach the funnel to the base of your bottle/top of your rocket. This is the nose of your rocket. Cover your whole rocket with duct tape to give it a metallic appearance.

6. Poke the tip of the bicycle pump into the hole in the lid and pump away. When the rocket becomes full of air, it will shoot up into the sky (so be careful and make sure your adult assistant helps you out)!

I’ve done this before! Although it was a long time ago LOL. It launched super super high in the air!

Huh, that looks (sadly) not much like a real rocket. I saw a Rocket launch (Mission is to do SOMETHING, I foret what, with Jupiter. The LAUNCH WAS AWESOME!) And guess what? I am makin a SPace Shuttle for my plush to ride in! This is what I have done so far: Got a box, and glued white paper down, and drew in the details. I am going to start working on it more in a minute…Oh yeah! We cut up this iced tea mix bottle and those are the engines! I am gonna try to send it in to Crafty Critterz (Hopefully it’ll work!) And I know this has NOTHING to do with space, but I got my Ears Peirced yesterday! Forever among the stars, Space Shuttle Lover
