What you need:
2 cups of dry chow mein noodles
1 cup of chocolate chips
Jellybeans
Cookie sheet lined with wax paper
What you do:
- Have your adult assistant melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (stir often).
- Carefully stir in the chow mein noodles, being careful not to break them.
- Using a spoon, drop blobs of the chocolate-and-noodle mixture onto the cookie sheet.
- Using the back of the spoon, spread the blob out a little so it looks like a nest.
- Drop two or three jellybeans into each ‘nest.’
- Put the pan in the fridge and let the chocolate set.
- Eat up!
Weird, I tell you! Weird!!! Might taste good though…
Neat!!!
Yeah, maybe I will try pretzels. :)
Don’t jump to conclusions. They are delicious. Chocolate and crispy rice cereal are good together, too. You can even add a little peanut butter for extra flavor. My class made these in school. They were very popular.
These are SO GOOD! My mom makes the for us. She also melts chocolate chips, stirs in some peanut butter (none of us are allergic to chocolate or nuts) and then we dip salted waffle wheat crackers in them – we use Triscuits. MMMMM!! All the best! MDIChickadee
We made these is school and are called ting-a-lings, but they didnt have the jelly beans. They are really good.
Use coconut instead of the noodles.
Pretty cool! Where’s the picture?
