The Inspiring Persephone!

Hi Webkinz fans, Persephone here again! Everyone is always asking me where I get my inspiration so I thought I’d share some trade secrets with you.

When I’m looking for inspiration I turn to the things I love. If you enjoy being outdoors, you can draw ideas from some of the colors and textures you come across in nature. Ever noticed how a bright green leaf is set off beautifully against the earthy brown of a tree branch? How about the subtle shades of grey and blue in the stones on a beach?

Keep an eye out for things that inspire you when you’re reading books and magazines. If you see a photo of a room or an outfit or even just a color that appeals to you, mark that spot, or clip it out and start a scrapbook, or pin it up on your wall.

I often look to someone whose style I admire for inspiration. I try not to copy them so much as look to what they’re doing for ideas about how I can combine items of clothing, or change up my space in new and unusual ways.

While all my designs are my own, I know that many of them are sparked by something I may have seen elsewhere. So keep your eyes open for your own sources of inspiration. You never know what will spark you.

I think Persophone should have a blog… Like in Webkinz World! Pets don’t see her very often, so she should have at least a column for the Newzpaper…

I love looking at nature, thinking of drawing or painting them, I love pale yellows, gentle blues, browns, pinnks, dark purples and pretty greens. That’s why I love art! I can put tons of colors and still make it look real, using flowers, trees, different shadows for different times of day, and animals are always a perfect touch! But I mostly where jeans and tees, because I prefer to be casual.
