Crafty Critterz: Piggy Plum Pie

What you need:

  • 4 cups sliced plums
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 rolled up pie crusts top and bottom
  • Pie pan
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Cinnamon and sugar mixture for the swirl
  • Milk
  • Small Bag
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Knife

What you do:

  1. Roll out pie crust and lay it on the bottom of the pie pan.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degree.  Have an adult assist with setting the oven.
  3. Mix the plums, sugar, salt, cinnamon, lemon juice and flour together and place in pie shell.
  4. Place toy layer of pie crust on top and trim the edges.
  5. Make holes in top to vent.
  6. Sprinkle a few drops of milk and pat the top of the pie crust.
  7. Mix cinnamon and sugar together and place in a small bag.
  8. Cut a small hole in one of the corners of the bad and make a swirl on top of the pie.
  9. Place pie on the cookie sheet and place in preheated oven for 60 minutes or until golden brown.  Have an adult assist with putting the pie in the oven.
  10. Once the pie is cooled, slice and top with 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and ENJOY!

You can choose your own favorite ice cream flavor or whipped topping of your choice.

    i’ll have to try it soon! for caramel soup you mix melted chocolate and melted caramel. then you quickly add melted ice cream and sprinkle’s and make it into cube’s and that make’s caramel soup chunk’s when it harden’s a bit! i haven’t try’ed it yet but it might make good caremel chunks…
