The gifts look great—too bad they’re only available with estore points and not Kinzcash. Wonderful work by the Webkinz design team–bravo!

I think this is all a personal opinion. About 10 years ago we had a major financial crisis and had to sit down and prioritize where our money would be spent. It’s the same for every household. Do you buy coffee at the drive through on the way to work or do you make it at home and take it with you? Do you choose Amazon Prime or Netflix? Do you choose Webkinz deluxe and estore or other online games? So hubby and I made the decisions that work best for us. We have no TV and no home phone and no eating out, except on very special occasions and we really don’t even miss them. This allows me to be a Deluxe year round Webkinz member and also shop at the estore with a very decent budget. I buy my membership and epoints at half price on the sale days. These sales are held a few time a year so I plan for them. And buying my estore points at half price I am able to purchase more estore items. And keep in mind that the estore has many sales on their estore products, such as pets, dispensers, …well anything that is sold in the estore which allows you to get more stuff at half off even if they are not actually half off (because you bought the points for half off)! So the idea that you can’t afford to pay for Webkinz is entirely your priorities. You make your own life decisions and have to live by them. Of course, nothing is set in stone so you can always make the decision to change your mind. Life is short folks and I hope that you are able to make the decisions that work best for you.

Right on Katz1259! I almost thought I wrote that, same here! I’m thinking that our fellow kinz that are upset, might be of a younger generation and don’t understand this concept. Sometimes you have to make the choice on things. I am a full player and I’m cool with it. This is the best place to be. I thank all of you for years of fun, and many more. Just enjoy ;) Happy Holidays

Here is my opinion about the Deluxe and eStore. Yes, I love playing Webkinz. I am a Deluxe member on two of my accounts, the other three are just Full Members. I thought that Deluxe would be wonderful, especially when shopping in the WShop, plus you can KinzPost most, if not all, the Deluxe items from there. HOWEVER…there are SO MANY things in the WShop, especially in the Room Themes, that are ePoints ONLY! And you can’t KinzPost the items to other players, or even another of your own accounts! I really don’t get the “logic” about “not being able to mail/sell/trade most ePoint items, or why are the greater majority of Room Themes only ePoint items? IF you have ePoints, then you can spend them in the Ganz eStore! WHY can’t the WShop be for KinzCash only? Create some awesome Room Themes, or…better yet, return RETIRED Room Themes to the WShop for KinzCash! If players can’t be Deluxe, they still have to buy a virtual pet, or the new plush pets that come with two codes. Deluxe Membership and getting ePoints is really not possible for some families. Players should feel like they are being punished for not being Deluxe members. Having special stuff for “those that can afford it”, doesn’t seem right. I have played Webkinz long enough to remember games and WShop items that were for ALL Full Members, but now…those games and WShop items are for Deluxe only. Then there are the Room Themes that will have most items in a theme for Deluxe, with only two or three items for KinzCash. What’s the point of that? Yes…playing Webkinz can be, and is often, very frustrating. Too many challenges! Too many things to do daily! Not enough time to just simply play and enjoy the game! Yet…here I am…loving it! Playing it! No matter how much it frustrates me, I still enjoy Webkinz, and truly appreciate the Ganz company and all the people who work so hard to make Webkinz World a safe and fun place to play, even for adults! Thank you, Webkinz!

Name one online game that doesn’t have special stuff you can get for Cash spent. That is how they make money to pay employees to keep giving us such great content. I only have one account. Choices. All my 100′s of pets all on one account.

I have been playing for 12 years as a full player. Yes, Deluxe, E store, would be great, if it was in my budget, but it’s not & I’m OK w/that. That being said, there is soo much to do now, I don’t even get my daily list of things to do done! This is a game that brings many peeps together like no other. Very thankful for this game. Yes, the cool stuff they give us is nice, but keep the fun of just playing all the games & things to do be enough to keep you from “needing to have” more. Just my simple side of things. Happy Holidays to all.

Amen to that, string! If you need a friend who logs in every day, my username is eigram! Happy Holidays! (I’ve been playing for 14 years)

I too have been playing for 13 years and I have been a deluxe member. I give myself a small budget to buy points for the year. The items are pretty, but I really don’t need many of the items. I look and wait for the real big bargains which are few. I like playing most of the games, doing challenges, and designing rooms with the items I do have (which is a lot for the over 400 rooms I have). I am very thankful my nephew introduced me to this game. I enjoy doing the dailies each day and now have my nephews account and my mothers account. I just couldn’t bear the thought of them disappearing. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

One of the best deals on the internet or apps Even if you pay full price for Deluxe, it is about $5 a month – please tell me what other entertainment is that inexpensive! Even to see a movie (which at the moment is difficult to do), or having any other service (Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Amazon, etc!) is more. And! this is the game that is generous, and personal. Such a great community also. I love to spend on this game, because I feel I’m supporting something worthwhile, but you certainly don’t have to, to enjoy it!

I agree with you, Beckinz8. It costs money for Ganz to run Webkinz, to have a staff of IT techies to design WW and repair glitches, to give us contests and holiday items, and a fun and beautiful game to de-stress in this crazy life we live. The game is so much better than any app with constant “in app purchases” and unable to complete levels unless you pay up. It’s not like that at all, and with all that is available for free in this game, there is SO much for ANY one to play and create in Webkinz World without spending a penny more than the pet!

    • anigodfr says:

I think you’re getting confused between dollars and estore points. Some pets only cost like $6! Hope that helps!

    • imapinkpup says:

miriammilner74, I think you are misinterpreting the estore prices… it is 10,000 points for $10 USD, which is usually enough to buy a pet (some of the special ones might be a bit more expensive, but usually no more than 20,000 points or $20). This is no where near the scale of price for a gaming console, as they are not “2,000 dollars” for one pet

  8. sarahlyn08 says:

Why is it all in E store money? so not fair. This game is becoming more and more for those who are rich and can spend real money. How do you expect children to play this game? Or those that can’t afford to spend real money?

    • Beckinz8 says:

Hi @sarahlyn08. While I understand your frustration at not being able to get everything that you may want, I do want to share that I believe that WW has something for everyone. I played in WW for three years before I started receiving Deluxe memberships and eStore points as gifts from loved ones who know that I am crazy about the game. I had fun as a free player and eventually a full player when I found my first Webkinz plushie at a local craft store. WW has given and continues to give us so many wonderful free items that my dock is bursting at the seams. You can always try asking for Ganz items on your holiday wish list, but in the meantime, just try to fully enjoy all the many, many free gifts that we continue to be given in WW every day.

I can relate about the estore coins. I think Webkinz does a great job about not making Deluxe almost a requirement to have fun, like many other games do. However, estore coins are so expensive! and I wish more of the cool, new room themes were able to be purchased with Kinzcash.

If you’re on social security, like I am, disability, you save your pennies, nickels and dimes so you can buy what you want. I save my money and get a vip membership on black friday when it’s only $20 some dollars. That gives me so many estore points a month and if I want to buy more, again, I save my proverbial pennies. It works for me at any rate.
