If this were a plush, I would adopt it. Its name would be . . . wait for it . . . Fawkes!
I named mine Blazer. (This was before I figured out that a blazer was a type of jacket. Now I have a majestic phoenix named after a jacket. Hooray for naming skills…!)
Your pet’s name is perfectly fine! I didn’t associate “Blazer” with a jacket but with a fiery Phoenix. Besides, it’s better than what I would have named it. I would have named it something predictable like Firebird.
