Hailey here! I was having coffee with my friend, Ms. Stripes, in her fabulous living room (if I do say so myself) when I asked her when she was planning to put up her Christmas decorations. You know what she told me? That she wasn’t planning to decorate for Christmas this year! Whaaaaa??? I mean, you know me, readers – any excuse to decorate ANYTHING and I’m there. When I asked why not, she explained that since her big reno in the fall KinzCash had been a bit tight and her family wouldn’t be visiting anyway so there was no point.
But readers, I just couldn’t bear the thought of Ms. Stripes sitting in her beautiful but undecorated living room all season so I made her an offer. I explained that Elwin and I had a whole storage room full of holiday décor and that we would be more than happy to lend her some of our decorations for the month and help her decorate. I was a bit worried that she would be offended by my offer but she was thrilled at the idea of putting up some holiday decorations. So the other day she made some hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies and Elwin and I headed over with a van full of holiday cheer. The three of us had a great time and I think the place turned out beautifully, don’t you?

I love everything but the blue Christmas tree. I almost missed it, it blended into the wall paper so much and then when I really looked at it the two blues don’t go together all that well.
I like both rooms, and the decorations are great…. not too “over the top”. The only thing I would do differently is keep the white couches. I think they go with the Christmas decorations better than beige. Merry Christmas, everyone!!
