Roberta’s Craft

Know what I love? Big earrings! Probably because my ears are…somewhat…prominent. So. Big earrings! I LOVE making jewelry, so here’s how to make some pretty dangly earrings for yourself (or a friend). What you need:Beads, thread, needle, earring backing (either pierced or clip on), square of cardstock What you do: Put the thread through the needle. Choose which beads you’d like to use. I had this whole container of multi-colored beads. I did one rainbow pair and one blue-ish pair. Make a small knot at the end of the thread and string the beads onto the thread. You can make your earrings as dangly as you like! Tie the thread to your earring backing. Snip off any extra thread. Display your earrings on a piece of cardstock with your company’s name on it!
Everyone meets to get set up for the big day
By Cowabelle Cowoline Wow! There was some major drama today at the Kinzville Academy. We all met at the school to start setting up for the Fall Fair. It was going pretty well. We got the tub all set up for Lucky Ducky and Stoogles was filling it up with water. I was mixing colors for the Face Paint. Roberta and Alex were measuring out the correct distance from the basket for the beanbag toss. Purr-cilla was laying out the hula hoops for the hula hoop game. Suddenly, Salley came running out of the school with Nibbles behind her. She ran straight over to Purr-cilla and shouted, “Where is it?” Purr-cilla looked as shocked as the rest of us. Which was kind of shocking in itself, because Purr-cilla always tries to act like she knows exactly what’s going on. She asked what Salley was looking for and Salley just screamed, “You know what I’m talking about? Where is it?” We all came running over and Roberta asked what had happened. Nibbles told us that someone had taken the golden vase that Fluffington had donated from the cupboard in the art room. Salley cried, “It … Read more

Acorn Creatures
by Cowabelle When I was cleaning up the school yard today I was inspired to make these adorable little worms to sell at the fair with acorns I picked up off the ground! What you need: - 10 – 12 Acorns - Leaves - Peppercorns - Glue gun - An adult assistant to help with this craft What you do: Pop the caps off of the acorns, and reserve one or two to use as ‘caps’ for your creatures. With the help of your assistant, glue together a line of five or six acorns. Make the line slope up at one end to form the head and add peppercorn eyes to your creatures’ faces. Use an acorn cap or a leave to adorn your little creatures with head gear. These cute little creatures will make perfect reminders of our fabulous Fall Fair!
Stoogles’ Monster Cupcake

Oops, I sort of left this ‘til the last minute. Okay, here goes: What you need: - Cupcakes - White icing - Green food coloring - Red food coloring - Sprinkles What to do: Add green food coloring to icing until it is the right shade of green. Add red food coloring to icing until it is the right shade of red. Spread green icing all over the cupcake. Add a shock of red hair at the top. Make a face out of sprinkles. So, this isn’t that bad considering I didn’t really plan it out or put that much thought into it. I mean – compared to all those ‘Kinz who worked on theirs for ages, this is actually quite awesome. I think I should win the prize!

The forecast has changed!
by Nibbles Hooray! I woke up this morning and turned on the TV and guess what? It looks like the rainstorm that was forecast for this weekend blew way north of Kinzville up to Northern Webkinz World! It’s going to miss us entirely. I got on the phone to Salley and she was thrilled! It looks like this Fall Fair is ON! So, with blue skies ahead now it’s time for clean up! Salley has organized us into teams (well, actually to be honest – it was Purr-cilla who organized all the volunteers and made sure every job was covered, but Salley doesn’t like to be reminded of that) and it’s been going really smoothly so far. I’m teamed up with Cowabelle and we’ve borrowed some rakes from the school custodian. We’ve already started clearing away the leaves from all the games areas, and we’ve got the spaces roped off where the rides are going to go. We’ll be setting up a table where the prizes will be kept, and Salley took the vase that Fluffington donated as the prize for the Cupcake Decorating Contest and hid it in a cupboard in the … Read more

Molly’s Craft

I always have great ideas, but usually have a hard time remembering them. Fortunately, I’ve got this terrific craft to help! What you need: Small pad of sticky notes, construction paper, scissors, glue, stickers, markers – whatever you want to use to decorate the cover of the note pad What you do: Cut a piece of construction paper to fit over the sticky notes. It should fit the back and front, like the cover of a book. Glue the cover to the back of the pad of sticky notes. Decorate the front and back. These are super-handy to keep in your backpack!
