Ella Reports on the Pink Party

EllaJune20

Ella McWoof here with some great news from the Pink Party – it was a total success! Everyone who was anyone was at the party, which was very graciously hosted by Fluffington St. Bernard (who, near the end of the party, was spotted talking to Elwin and Hailey about ‘un-pinking’ his dining hall).   The highlights of the party had to be:   The Pink Dinner – Chef Gazpacho and Chef Sophia did a WONDERFUL job making everything look and taste outstanding. It’s so hard to choose a favorite dish – they were all good! The great games – the ‘Kinz did a terrific job arranging games for everyone. Even the adults joined in! The donations – we were so pleased to see the grand total. It was outstanding! The take-home bags – I’m sorry, but take home bags are just awesome. And so well put together!   It was a pink-tacular, pink-tastic, pink-filled day of fun. October is all about thinking pink!

Autumn Pencil Case

PencilCase

What you need: A piece of felt in red or orange, red, orange, yellow, green and brown felt scraps, yarn, darning needle, two large beads.   What you do: Fold the piece of felt in half (hamburger fold). Thread the darning needle with your yarn. Tie a not at the end. Sew both sides of the felt to make a bag. Around the top of your bag, do a simple, big stitch. When you’ve got all around the top, take the needle off the yarn and tie a big bead onto either end of the yarn. You can pull the yarn to close the bag (this is how a drawstring works). If you want a larger bag, just use two pieces of felt and sew them together – use the same method for the drawstring part. Cut out leaf shapes from each of the felt scraps. Attach felt leaves with fabric glue.

Favorite Adventure Park Pet Contest Winners

Congratulations to Kay, Vanessa, Melody, Kelly, Laura, Sarah and Catherine. They’ve each been sent a Secret Code for their favorite Adventure Park pet! We wanted to know which Series 1 Adventure Park was your favorite and why. Read the winning entries below: My favorite Adventure Pet is the Pink Pony. I like to pretend that I am riding her across a big meadow and my long hair is blowing in the wind. I don’t have long hair so that Really is pretending! I would feed her and pet her and brush her coat until it was as shiny as glass. We would cuddle on her bed of fresh hay and I wouldn’t even sneeze! We would have great and amazing adventures my Pink Pony and me, and we would remember them when we are old and grey, or a lighter pink for her. – Kay My favorite adventure pet is the Koala. It is my favorite because it is the cutest animal. Koalas are sweet and live in Australia. They sleep a lot during the day and they are herbivores. That is why I like the Koala adventure pet. – Vanessa My favorite pet at adventure park is the Pink … Read more

Pink Gift Game

PinkGift

Hey there! Stoogles here with a great idea for any party – and in this case, for the Pink Party!   Everyone loves opening gifts, right? Well, what if EVERYONE got a chance to open the same gift? Sounds crazy? Listen up!   What you need: 10 sheets of newspaper or large scrap paper, 5 sheets of tissue paper, small gift or candy, ribbon   What you do: Put the small gift in the centre of a piece of tissue paper. Wrap the tissue paper all around it. Wrap four more tissue paper sheets around it. Wrap the whole thing in pieces of ribbon (tie them in place). Add layers of newspaper, tying ribbons where you need to in order to keep the whole thing together. Finish the gift off with a giant a ribbon! Sit in a circle with your friends. Pass the gift around the circle and remove the ribbon and the paper.  Everyone can only remove one layer of paper or ribbon before passing it along. The person to unwrap the last layer of tissue paper gets the gift!

Pink Hopscotch

Hopscotch

Roberta here with a great game to play with your friends! It’s called ‘Pink hopscotch’ and it’s super easy!   What you need: Pink chalk, blue chalk, sidewalk, friends, rock     What you do: Using the blue chalk, draw a hopscotch grid on the sidewalk. Make lots of different squares – and really be creative in your design! Number each square with the blue chalk. Have your friends stand at the end of the hopscotch. The first person throws the rock and sees where it lands. That person hops all the way to the square and then, in the pink chalk, writes his or her initials.  Everyone keeps doing this until the whole hopscotch board is filled with initials. The tricky part is that when someone else has claimed a square, you can’t jump on it! So if Cowabelle, Salley and I were playing, the only squares I could hop on would be ones without an initial and ones with RR (Roberta Rabbit) on them! When all the squares had initials, I could only hop on the RR squares! The first person to get through the whole grid without … Read more

Sparky’s Game: Pink Tag

Sparky

Sparky here with a pretty awesome game idea (I’m in charge of making sure all the younger Webkinz have something to do during the Pink Party). We’re going to play pink tag. How do you play? Easy! You choose one person to be it. Everyone else runs away and they can only take a break in one of three pink safe zones (three trees with pink hearts attached to them). In order to be ‘safe’ from ‘It’, the person has to have one hand on the tree. Only one person can touch one tree at a time and they can only stay there for ten seconds- and then they have to run again. You keep playing until everyone is tired.   What do you think?  I hope it keeps the little Webkinz busy!

Pink Ribbon Pink pot and a packet of pretty pink aster seeds Pink ‘Thank You!’ card Pink heart stickers Pink lollipop   I think it’s maybe the best treat bag I’ve ever made…and I’ve made a lot! Back to School Contest Winners

Congratulations to Haley, Jack, Courtney, Belle and Sara. They’ve each won an eStore exclusive Floating School Desk. We wanted to hear about your best day at school, ever. Read the winning entries below: The best day of school for me was this one day when all my teachers planned a special day for all of the kids in my grade. All we did that day was play games, watch movies, and hang out with friends. Our teachers didn’t even give us homework!!! Our teachers had some fun too! While we watched movies, they went into another classroom and just talked. Then after the movies, it was lunch time so the teachers let all of the students eat lunch in the classroom with all of our friends. Also, since it was a very hot day out, we all went outside, and everybody got to drink a nice, cold glass of lemonade. After the day ended, as soon as we left the classroom, we all got to have ice cream sundaes. We got to make them ourselves!! That day was the best school day ever! I will never forget it!! – Haley The best day ever in school for me was going … Read more

Nibbles Catches a Cold

Nibbles

Ugggggh! It’s me, Nibbles. Or should I say ‘Sniffles?’ The other day on my way home, it started pouring down with rain and I had left my jacket in my locker at school. I got soaked! As soon as I got home, Plumpy ran me a hot bath and I got out of my wet clothes, but when I woke up the next morning I was all stuffed up. Now I’m lying in bed, eating chicken soup, and going through about a million tissues a day. I feel awful. My head hurts and my nose is running like a faucet. It wouldn’t be so bad, but Molly’s Pink Party is in two days! What if I’m not better by then? I told Plumpy that I was going to the party no matter what, but she said that if I’m still sick, that wouldn’t be fair to everyone else because I could pass my germs onto them. I guess she has a point, but – IT’S NOT FAIR! Oh, I really hope I’m feeling better by then. Plumpy said all I can do is drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest. I’ve gotta go. I think I’ll … Read more

Pink Balloon Tree

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is an easy way to dress up your surroundings when you’re throwing a Pink Party. What you need: -          A large planter -          Gravel or sand -          A long straight stick or wooden broom handle -          Silver or pink spray paint (optional) -          About 6 pink and white balloons (3 of each), blown up and tied -          Pink or white ribbon What you do: 1. If using spray paint, paint planter and stick and let dry. (Get an adult assistant to help with this). 2. Pour sand or gravel into planter and insert stick so it stands up straight. 3. Tie long bits of ribbon onto the base of each balloon and tie all balloons together into one large bunch. 4. With a ribbon, affix the bunch of balloons to the top of the stick. Voila! Ask Persephone Poodle just how fab this trick is – she uses it all the time!
