PJ’s Summer Fashion Show
PJ Collie here with a fabulous summertime fashion show. Check out these AWESOME styles and tell us who you think is wearing the BEST outfit! First up, Hailey is wearing a fabulous black dress with pops of neon. Her sunglasses and shoes are bright pink, which works with this vibrant outfit perfectly! Next, we have Joe. Joe looks super cool in neon green shorts (neon is SO in this season, by the way). His black shirt and shades help to keep the outfit from being TOO bright, and his sandals are a great final touch. Looking good, Joe! A little summer rain won’t dampen the spirits of Elora! She’s looking seasonally sensational in this long floral dress! The ruffled sandals are perfect for a garden party, and the hat is a fun accessory! And for a casual summertime look, we’ve got Hank. Hank is decked out in a camouflage hat and shirt. His shorts are a dusty brown, and his runners say “I’m ready for a day in the sun!” If summertime has you thinking pink, you’ll LOVE Steph’s look! This lovely magenta and orange one piece is super stylish – and … Read more
Roberta’s Craft: Flower Prints
You guys will NEVER believe the fun I had at craft camp today! I had the best time making a painting out of flowers. Sounds interesting, right? Here’s how to do it yourself! What you need: Flowers with different colored petals – we used purple, yellow, red and pink; flat rock, two pieces of white paper What you do: Put down one piece of the white paper. You’re going to want to do this craft outside (on concrete is the best place). Sprinkle your petals all over the paper. Put the other piece of paper on top. Start banging your rock around on your paper. This should release the colors in the flower petals. Lift up the paper to see how the colors look. When you’re happy with the result, discard the petals and proudly display your floral print! One special note: be careful when you’re banging your rock – don’t let your fingers get in the way!

Dear Hailey, Wow! I am pumped! We finished the album and I just got to listen to it all the way through for the first time! Oh, Hailey! I can’t wait for you to hear it! This really is the coolest thing that has ever happened to me! I think you’re going to be impressed. Well, I know you’re already impressed. Listen – I don’t want to go all goopy on you or anything, but I thought this would be a good time to let you know how much I appreciate all the support and encouragement you’ve offered me my whole life. I am so lucky to have a sister like you, and being away from you has really shown me just how much I always lean on you. Okay – goopy moment over! Sorry! I hope I can get back to Kinzville soon so I can play you the album. I just know you’re going to love it! Gotta run! We’re doing some promotional photos for the tour and my ‘handlers’ are waiting for me! (Ha ha – can you picture me with handlers?) El
The Almost Big Sister
Oh, wow! Let me tell you – it’s not easy being an almost-big sister! This can be very stressful! The baby is due, like, any second and last night my mom started having these pains and I thought this was it! I was running around, boiling water and trying to find clean sheets, (isn’t that what they always do on TV?) when my dad told me to calm down. Calm down? Hello, mister?! There’s a baby on the way!!! He told me to be quiet and stop yelling (I was yelling?) because my mother was on the phone with the doctor. Her pains had stopped by then and the doctor said that it was false labor. Ugh! Now I know what Molly is talking about when she says Millie gets on her nerves – I mean, how could my new little sister or brother do this to me? Then my dad told me that when the time comes I don’t need to boil water or get clean sheets because the hospital will have all of that. And then he made me tidy up the linen closet. Geez – I was only trying to help! Oh, I don’t know how much … Read more
Hailey Interviews Designers
Hailey Interviews Designers Well, I’ve received a pile of resumes from potential design partners so, as part of the interview process, I decided to put forth a design challenge and ask each candidate to design a kitchen. Based on their work experience, the candidates that I asked to provide designs are PJ Collie, Wiggles Pig, and Tabby Von Meow. PJ has a lot of retail experience from working at the KinzStyle Outlet. Tabby seems to be a Jack-of-all-trades after running the Employment Office for so long, and Wiggles Pig is a great designer in his own right. We just need to see if we could forge a partnership. The weirdest thing is that when I received all their design proposals, there was another set of drawings that were submitted. I just found them on my desk and I have no idea where they came from. And the thing about the drawings is that they’re really – well, I’ll let you judge for yourself. So here are the designs submitted by Tabby, PJ, Wiggles and… ? Tabby Tabby decided to go with a country theme for her kitchen. She used the Wind Farm Wallpaper to really capture the country feel. She … Read more
Cowabelle’s Summer
Dear Roberta, Remember how I said my vacation with Dacey was going great? Well, let me just change ‘great’ to ‘horrible.’ What happened? Her BOYFRIEND showed up. Yes, that’s right. She has a boyfriend. His name is Trevor and he’s ALWAYS around. He and Dacey hold hands and share drinks and they’re constantly together. And what about me? I’m spending a lot of time with Dacey’s mom (who doesn’t really approve of Trevor, by the way). Also, I’m reading a ton of books (there’s a library close by). I asked Dacey if she wanted to go shopping and maybe get manicures and guess what she said? “Only if Trevor can come along.” You have GOT to be kidding me! I told her to forget about it and returned to the library to see if they had any new magazines in. I don’t know how much longer I can take this, Roberta. I might just end up coming home early, movie or no movie. I’m bored and tired of being left on my own. Some summer this is turning out to be. Love, Cowabelle PS – How are things with you?
Ella’s Summer Update
Ella here with a summer vacation update! Summertime in Kinzville is a TON of fun – there’s so much to do! I decided to walk around town this morning and find out how everyone is spending their summer vacation. Dr. Quack: I’m having a barbecue next weekend. It’s going to be amazing! Grilled veggies, tofu burgers…and ice cream cake for dessert! YUM! Stoogles: I am having the best summer! I’ve got SO much planned. We’re having a Googles reunion, I’m going to the beach, my cousins are coming to visit…it’s go, go, go for me! Purr-Cilla: Well, as I mentioned before, I’ve got quite the summer planned. I’m leaving at the end of this week to head to the shore. Sun, fun and fabulous things to do. It’s going to be outstanding. Nibbles: I’m SO BORED, Ella! I knew everyone was going to be busy, but I never imagined I would have SO much time to myself. I’ve tried doing a few different hobbies…knitting, sewing, watching the linoleum peel…I just wish my friends would come and visit me! Ms. Birdy: I’m having a great summer! I love hot weather and I LOVE … Read more
Roberta’s Craft: Craft Stick Easel
Today’s craft is totally fun and adorable. And easy! You’ll be able to create your own little art gallery if you make a bunch! Here’s what you need to make your own craft stick easel: Small cardstock triangle, three big craft sticks, one small craft stick, craft glue, cardstock rectangle (this will be your canvas), larger rectangle with the middle cut out (this will be your frame) What you do: Glue the three craft sticks to the cardstock triangle, one overlapping each corner. Let the glue dry. When the glue is dry, bring one craft stick back (this is what props the easel up) and leave the other two at the front. There’s your basic easel! Now glue on the smaller craft stick so it can hold your canvas and frame in place. Cut out a rectangle from white cardstock. This is your canvas. Draw a picture on your canvas and glue a frame on. You can make as many easels as you like. You can paint your easel before you put a picture on it, if you like!
One Cool Fridge
Have you ever seen the Barrel of Berries Fridge? It’s just one of many awesome prizes that you can win by filling up your jars at Jumbleberry Fields (the Barrel of Berries fridge can be won from filling up your Pickleberry Jar). This fridge is going to come in VERY handy starting on July 18, because that’s when the Berry Festival starts! There are six different types of berries to collect during the festival, and you’ll be able to display them all in this fridge! Stay tuned to Webkinz Newz for lots more information about this berry cool festival!
Wanted: One Designer
Hey everyone, Hailey here. I’m having a pretty terrible day. Why? Because my brother Elwin called earlier and he sounded really, really, really happy. Now, I’m not upset because he’s happy (I’m glad he is, really!), but I AM upset because I don’t think he’s going to come back to Kinzville. Based on that call and the post card I received yesterday, I think life on the road is the life for him. He seems to LOVE touring with the Rockerz. So where does that leave me? Alone with our business, that’s where. And I can’t keep up with all the jobs by myself. So I’ve decided: I’m going to hire a new partner. It’s drastic, sure, but what else can I do? I’ve put up some flyers around town and told all my friends to let their friends know – I need someone to fill in for Elwin. I’m having everyone submit designs to me…maybe I’ll share them with you, so you can tell me who you think has the most talent. I wish my brother was coming back…but I just don’t think he is.

Dear Sparky Hi! How’s it going at your uncle’s shop? I hope you’re not too busy. Science camp is so much fun, but Booger kind of needs to chill. I mean, camp has all these awesome activities, like swimming and hiking and crafting, but Booger gets frustrated any time we’re not doing science all the time. So whenever we have to leave the lab he gets in a mood and is not really fun to be around. The silly thing is – we are doing science all the time anyway. At swimming, we have to try to figure out the time based on the sun’s position in the sky, and when we go hiking we collect samples to study in the biology lab and figure out the height of trees from their shadows. And often our crafting projects are for use in the lab, like when we built this cool volcano out of papier mache and then we made our own lava in the lab. But whatever. Booger usually chills after a bit and we can still have fun. And it really is a neat camp – I’m so glad he talked me into coming. Say hi to everyone for … Read more
Postcard from Elwin
Hey, Hail! Just a quick postcard – things are crazy so haven’t had much time to write. Sorry! Am having a blast! Right now I am sitting in the Craft Services room at the studio enjoying a snack. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly want to eat in here and if they don’t have it, I just need to say the word and they will produce it. A guy could get used to this – I am really getting the star treatment. It’s really fun, recording my album. The only problem is I keep wanting to rearrange all the furniture in the recording studio. I guess I just can’t get the designing bug out of my system! Gotta run – they’re calling me back for more vocals! Later! El
Three Camp Games
Roberta here with some fun camp games to play. We did all three of these this morning at craft camp (it was a special outdoor fun day today). I hope you like them as much as I did! Game 1: Wacky Words This was a warm up game and it was a lot of fun! The counselor called out a word that was three or more letters long and each team (there were five teams of four kids each) wrote it on the left side of a piece of paper. They then wrote the same word backwards on the right side. Then we tried to make words by filling letters in the middle. This is how one of ours turned out: It’s not as easy as it first looks! Also, we had a time limit of only two minutes! Game 2: Veggie Soup In this game, everyone was named one of four vegetables: carrot, potato, cucumber or bean. Everyone was seated on a chair in a circle to begin the game, and then one kid got up and called the name of a vegetable (like “carrots!”). All the carrots had to get up from their seat, run into the … Read more
Sparky’s Summer
You guys will NEVER guess what I started today…swimming lessons! They are SO much fun, I can hardly believe it. Uncle Arte said that since I’ve been such a good sport about helping out at the Curio Shop (OK, OK, I’ve complained a FEW times, but whatever), he wanted to give me an extra special treat. He signed me up for swimming lessons. Initially, I was all, “Um, Uncle Arte? I know how to swim. Sort of.” But really? I didn’t know any of the strokes…and I definitely couldn’t swim for very long. The lessons I’m taking are for kids who have some experience and know the basics, but could stand to learn a bit more. And guess what? It’s SO much fun. We had races in the pool, we practiced holding our breath underwater, and we even learned the backstroke! I can’t wait for next week – by the end of the summer, I’m going to be a swimming expert!
