Roberta’s Craft: Fake Campfire!
Hey everyone! Roberta here with a super simple and wonderfully FUN craft! Today I’m going to show you how to make a fake campfire! What you need:Three paper towel tubes, brown craft paint, paintbrush, black craft paint, brown construction paper, yellow construction paper, red construction paper, orange construction paper, craft glue, scissors What you do: Cut out a brown construction paper circle for each end of each paper towel role. Glue them in place. When the glue is dry, paint each paper towel tube brown. These are your logs! When the brown paint is dry, paint on black lines to make the logs look like they have bark on them. When the black paint is dry, glue all three logs together in a campfire arrangement. Cut out orange, red and yellow flames from the construction paper. Glue the flames together and then glue them in place on your logs. For extra fun, I got a pencil and painted it brown to look like a stick. I then got a Styrofoam marshmallow and stuck it on the end! Now I can pretend I’m camping anytime I want!
Earth Day Contest Winners
Congratulations to Pam, Jessica, Lauren, Abbie and Jane! They’ve each been awarded a retired Earth Table. We wanted to hear how you were going to celebrate Earth Day. Check out the winning entries below: I am going to clean up along the creek near my house. There is not much trash but a lot of fallen branches and debris are clogging the water up. When silt piles up against the debris then the stream can overflow and flood the road. That means that the stream picks up dirt that washes into the river. – Pam This Earth Day I am going to plant lots of trees so then some animals can have new homes. I also am going to recycle old bottles and help save Earth. I am going to tell all of my friends, neighbors, and even random people to do the same thing. Next I am going to not use the electronics in my house to save electricity. That is what I am going to do this Earth Day. – Jessica Every year my little sister and I find that even on Earth Day our neighborhood is filled with garbage. When Earth Day comes we go around our … Read more
It’s Camp month!
Hi there! It’s me, Roberta. I am really pumped because my parents signed me up for Craft Camp this summer! It should be a lot of fun. We are starting with pottery this week which will be awesome – I mean, what’s the point of doing crafts if you’re not going to get MESSY, right? It’s going to be great because it’s only a morning camp, which means that I will still have my afternoons free to hang out with my friends and with the new baby when it comes along! When my dad and I were signing up for camp we ran into Molly and Millie. It turns out that Millie will be going to day camp this summer and I could tell by the look on Molly’s face that she was kind of relieved about that. Poor Molly. She keeps telling me that she loves Millie and they do have fun sometimes, but that I should really try to set boundaries when the baby starts to get older because otherwise it’s just going to be getting in my stuff all the time. I will try to remember that! Last summer Booger went … Read more

Summer is HERE!
Sparky here with some exciting, amazing, outstanding, fabulous, AWESOME news – school is out for summer! I can’t believe how HAPPY that makes me! I mean, I know that I’m going to be working at the Curio Shop for most of the summer…and I know my friends won’t all be in town…but know what? That’s OK! Because I won’t be at school! I can sleep in (a little bit) and watch TV (an hour a day at least!) and I won’t have any assignments or homework or anything like that! Tell me, friends, what is your favorite thing about the summer holidays?

Big City – Day 2
It’s Cowabelle here on the bus back to Kinzville and am I ever exhausted. What a day! I shared a room with Polly, Purr-cilla and Janice. The thing is, Purr-cilla kind of snores. Actually, when I say ‘kind of’, I really mean ‘totally and loudly’. I think Janice must sleep like a rock or just pretends she doesn’t notice because when Polly very nicely tried to roll Purr-cilla on her side last night, Purr-cilla woke up and got really mad and said she didn’t snore. Then, after much shaking and yelling, she managed to wake up Janice who said that she sleeps over at Purr-cilla’s all the time and she has never noticed it. The two of them managed to get right back to sleep but Polly and I barely had a wink of sleep all night. It was like sleeping with a chainsaw going off in our room. Today we visited the Big City Art Gallery. It was a really beautiful building that looked almost like a castle and it was filled with many exquisite works of art. There was an exhibit of famous Webkinz World artist, Blake E. … Read more

Big City Trip – Day 1
Woo hoo! Stoogles here! I am just stretched out on the bed in the hotel room I am sharing with Alex and Sparky. This is the life! Our room is on the 15th floor and from our window we can see almost all of the Big City. It’s so much bigger than Kinzville! For our first day we got to go downtown and check it out. The girls are all excited because there are so many places to shop. Whatever. I’m excited because there is every type of food you could possibly imagine. I already had three hot dogs, a stuffed pita, an order of chili fries and two cherry sodas. Then we took a double decker bus tour of the city. It was pretty neat because Ms. Cowoline had reserved the entire top floor of the bus just for our class. The Big City is a really neat place. The tallest building in all of Webkinz World is here and we got to take an elevator to the top floor where there is a glass floor you can walk on and look down on everyone below. They look just like ants! Salley was freaked out by the glass floor … Read more
End of Year School Trip
Ms. Cowoline here and before we arrive in the Big City while we’re still here on the bus, I just wanted to go over our itinerary for the trip. We will arrive in the Big City shortly and spend the whole day exploring the town then we will have a fun-filled evening with dinner out and a musical. We are going to stay in a hotel downtown for one night. Then we will spend another full day tomorrow, visiting the Art Gallery and having a picnic in the park before getting back on the bus late tomorrow afternoon and heading back home to Kinzville. I have assigned each of you a ‘buddy’ who will be your partner for the trip. Please be sure to stick with your buddy at all times and do not wander away from the group. I will be taking a head count periodically, but please keep in mind that we will be in unfamiliar surroundings where it is easy to get lost. So keep your wits about you, be responsible and respectful, mind your manners and I’m sure we will all have a wonderful time!
