Snow Day

WorriedSalley

To: Polly PandaFrom: Molly PigSubject: It’s a snow day!!!! Dear Polly, What a crazy two days it has been huh? I’m stuck here at Roberta’s house, but that’s OK. No Millie! Roberta and I have had a great time. We had a sleepover last night and watched movies until two in the morning! We figured it was going to be a snow day (and we were right!) so we slept in really late. Roberta’s mom said that the plow should be around soon, and then she’d walk me home. I think we’ll need to take a sled! Talk soon! Molly   To: Cowabelle CowolineFrom: Alex TigerSubject: I can’t believe it snowed so much. Dear Cowabelle, Sparky and I have been hanging out for…24 hours. That’s a really long time. Have you and Roberta ever hung out for that long? Don’t get me wrong; Sparky is a great guy…I just…want…to…read. But he loves video games. Dad says the storm is almost over, so we should be walking him home soon. Hooray! -          Alex   To: Stoogles GooglesFrom: Salley CatSubject: Where are you??? Dear Stoogles, What’s up? I hope you’re OK. I called … Read more

Mistletoe Mouse Contest Winners

Congratulations to Samantha, Lochy, Jing, Claire and Kailee, our winners of the Mistletoe Mouse contest! They’ve each been sent a Secret Code for an eStore exclusive Mistletoe Mouse. We wanted to know what the Mistletoe Mouse did this Christmas. Read the winning entries below! Once on a Christmas Day, Misletoe Mouse walked down her minty chocolate stairs with her sister Minty Cow. They were astonished to find nothing under the Christmas Tree except black, chalky looking, smoke-smelling coal. Although they were very good, they got what they didn’t deserve. Later as they dressed for the day, they tagged along Sweet Tooth Tiger and Wintermint Deer to find out what went wrong. After the stimulating conversation, they used the tremendous slide of the ferret to launch themselves all the way to the North Pole. During the talk with the adorable, cookie-odor elves, they learned that Santa had a malfunction with his navigation system. With the permission of Santa they went on his sleigh with presents for Misletoe Mouse’s town. She giggled and laughed and gave presents to everybody in her town later that afternoon. She came home with her presents. Misletoe Mouse spent her Christmas with loving family and friends and … Read more

One Snowy Sunday

Sparky

You’ll never believe what a crazy day it’s been! Right now, I’m stuck at my buddy Alex’s house. I’ve been here for…let’s see…twelve hours! And I’m likely to be here for another twelve. Why? The snow! It’s really insane outside. It looks like someone shook a snow globe too hard. I called my parents, but the line was really scratchy. My mom said to stay put and that she’d send Uncle Arte to get me in the morning – he’s the bravest member of our family! For now, I’m pretty happy to be at Alex’s. His mom made us a delicious dinner, and his dad said we could play video games for an hour!

Cowabelle’s Snowy Day

December1Cowabelle

Dear Diary, Today was the craziest day ever! It all started with me and getting ready to head over to the soup kitchen (I’m volunteering there every Sunday afternoon). I peeked out the window and noticed it was snowing. The weatherman said we were going to get snow, so I wasn’t too surprised. I put on all my winter clothes and told Mom I was going to head out. She wasn’t very happy to hear that. She said that the snow had really piled up, and that the sidewalks were going to be slippery. I assured her that I’d be careful. I just HAD to get to the soup kitchen! As soon as I opened our front door, I started to question my decision. The wind was SO cold…and the snow! The snow was whipping from every direction. It was intense! I walked down our driveway, and got as far as the end of the block when I realized: I really couldn’t see anything. There was so much snow falling that I could barely make out the other side of the road. It was totally unsafe (I couldn’t really tell if a … Read more

Alex’s Resolution

Alex

To: April Keymon From: Alex Tiger   Subject: Snow!   Dear April,   Know how I said that my resolution this year was going to be the discovery of a new plant or rock, but I think that might have to wait until spring. It’s really hard to find plants and rocks under a foot of snow! Speaking of snow, they said there’s a big storm on the way for Kinzville.  They’re saying that we could get anywhere from a few inches (if the storm misses us, mostly), or up to three feet! That would REALLY make to find plants or rocks, huh? I hope you’re having a great new year so far. We’ve got a winter fun day coming up at school, so that’ll be good. We should get together sometime soon and go sledding! That would be incredibly fun!   Your pal,   Alex

Purr-Cilla’s (brilliant) Plan!

PurrCilla

Hey everyone, Purr-Cilla here. I’m about to go into a Student Council meeting. I’m going to propose a new idea for our spring field trip – not the same old `let’s visit the park and have a picnic’ nonsense.  Nope! This year, I want to do something big and important. Maybe a trip to Northern Webkinz World? Or Southern Webkinz World! Or even to the Big City. Imagine it! The shopping…the theaters…the restaurants! It’s the perfect idea, and I bet everyone will be a lot more excited about THAT then about one more lame game of touch football.  Let’s see if I can get my idea across – and start my plan for taking over the Student Council!

Craft: Yearlong scrapbook

MyAwesomeYear

I love keeping a scrapbook of all the fun things I do in a year. And what better time to start a craft like this then in January? Here’s how you do it: What you need: Fourteen pieces of scrapbook paper, markers, fancy paper, scissors, glue stick   What you do: Staple the fourteen pieces of scrapbook paper together. The front sheet is the cover page, the back sheet is the back cover. At the top of each page, write the names of the months, starting with January. During each month, make little notes or paste little mementos from that month on the page. At the end of the year, you’ll have a record of all the things you did!

Nibbles Hippo: Filmmaker

NibblesWinter

Guess what? I heard about the coolest thing on TV this morning – yeah, I’m home sick again today – anyway, it’s a contest that I can enter. It’s a ‘young documentarian’ contest. That means that a kid makes a movie and a panel of judges watches it and then the winner gets KinzCash! How much KinzCash? One thousand smackeroos! The second prize is 500 KinzCash and the third prize is 200 KinzCash, so even if I don’t come in FIRST place, I’ll still be pretty happy! Now I just have to figure out what to make my film about. Looks like I’ve got a list of ideas to write!

Nibbles Hippo: Home Sick

Nibbles

I know everyone gets colds. I know they’ll go away after about a week. But that doesn’t mean they’re any fun in the mean time. I’m so sick, you guys! I woke up this morning with a terrible sore throat and a cough. My eyes are burning and my head is aching. And my nose won’t stop running. Plumpy took one look at me and said I was missing school. I know SOME kids would be really happy about that (Sparky, for one), but me? No. I hate missing school. I especially hate it when I have to stay home and feel horrible. Everyone is probably having a great time at recess, playing in the snow. Me? I’m stuck on the couch, doing crosswords and blowing my nose. Which is really sore, by the way. Ugh. I can’t wait to feel better.
