January’s Featured Pets
January has arrived, and with it has come a lovable group of new plush pets. This month, four new pets join Webkinz World: the Portuguese Water Dog, the Triceratops, the Ginger Cat, and the Weimaraner! Does the Portuguese Water Dog like baths? Would a Triceratops and a Ginger Cat be friends? You can find the answers at your favorite Webkinz retailer! All three of these pets are available along with wide-eyed Weimaraner this month!
Notice: Pet Of The Month Loot Bag Issue Fixed
We have an update regarding the status of the Pet Of The Month loot bags for January. Following the new year, there was a issue that affected a small percentage of our members preventing the loot bag from being properly awarded when adopting the Schnauzer, January’s Pet Of The Month. The issue was fixed shortly after the reports began coming in. We are happy to report that those members who did not receive the loot bag when adopting the Schnauzer can now do so. To obtain your loot bag, log into your account, switch to the pet Schnauzer that you adopted this month, and use the “Things To Do” menu to navigate to your room. Once you enter your room, you will receive your Pet Of The Month loot bag. We apologize for any inconvenience. We’ve had a talk with the Koala was who unwilling to allow the Schnauzer to take Pet of The Month honors from it and decided to steal some of the Pet of The Month loot bags. The Koala apologizes to you all, as well. Mustache Louie is again happy-go-lucky.
January’s Pet Of The Month: Schnauzer
Whether it’s visiting friends or just hanging out around the house, the Schnauzer knows how to make life fun. In fact, the Schnauzer is so much fun that it’s taken the year’s first Pet of the Month honors as January’s Pet Of The Month! As with all our Pet Of The Month pets, adopting the Schnauzer this month will get you an exclusive Pet of the Month loot bag that is filled with goodies you can’t get anywhere else! You’ll also have the chance to participate in some exclusive Daily Activities as a Pet Of The Month owner, and you’ll get a free download of the Pet Of The Month song! And that’s not all we have in store this month. Be sure to keep an eye out for the arrival of Mustache Louie as we celebrate the fun-loving Schnauzer on Webkinz Newz and in Webkinz World this month!

The Code Shop is currently unavailable due to an issue that prevents codes from being redeemed. We are currently working on this issue and will reopen the Code Shop when it is fixed.

Though December was a busy month for Webkinz World, January will have plenty of fun stuff to do, new physical products, eStore sales, and more. Here’s a quick glance at what’s going on in Webkinz World this month: Webkinz World Updates Our new Arena game, Duck Crossing, is coming this month! A bunch of new items and activities are inbound, as well. The Christmas W Shop item sale continues until January 5th. Get your last-minute winter shopping done now! Physical Products Our featured pets for January include the Portuguese Water Dog, the Triceratops, the Ginger Cat, and the Weimaraner. Now Available: Garnet Rover, January’s Birthstone Pet
Delightfully red with a gentle smile and a big heart, you’ll simply fall head over heels for the new Garnet Rover! The Garnet Rover is January’s Birthstone pet, and it is now available on the Ganz eStore. As with our other Birthstone pets, the Garnet Rover is available only until the end of the month. Notice: Pet Of The Month Loot Bag and Deluxe Item Issues
Happy New Year, everyone. We hope you are enjoying this first day of 2010! We have some news regarding some of the new content in Webkinz World. We have received reports from a small percentage of our members stating that the loot bags containing special items that are awarded when registering a Pet Of The Month pet have not been rewarded properly. The issue was identified, and it has now been fixed. Anyone who registers a Schnauzer from this point forward during January will receive the Pet Of The Month loot bag. For those who registered a Pet Of The Month pet but did not receive a loot bag yet, a fix will be coming on Monday of next week that will award the loot bag. According to word around the newsroom, the Koala was unwilling to allow the Schnauzer to take Pet of The Month honors from it and decided to steal some of the Pet of The Month loot bags! Mustache Louie was not pleased. Additionally, the Mountain Mine Ride, awarded to Deluxe members that have a yearly membership, is currently closed for repairs. Each weekend, the Ganz eStore offers a selection of the coolest items and pets with Surprise Saturday and Super Sunday. Christmas Has Passed, But The Sales Live On!

All of our special Christmas items can be found in the W Shop under “Room Themes” and then “Santakinz Workshop”. What should you buy? Well, the charming Cheery Chimney Fireplace will keep your Christmas spirit burning through to the New Year. Or what about a Merry Magic Sleigh Bed, where your Webkinz can dream sweet dreams of opening presents on Christmas Day every night? If neither of those suit your fancy, look no further than the Santakinz Desk, where you can plan out next Christmas’ surprises in the comfort of your Webkinz room! These are just a few of the great items on sale; there are more to discover in the W Shop. These items will only be available until January 5 and not January 6 as advertised on the items, so be sure you buy them while you can before Santakinz swoops them up in his sleigh and heads back home!
SantaKinz Completes His Long Journey
SantaKinz has finally completed delivering Christmas gifts to everyone in Webkinz World. Even if you did not visit the site on Christmas day, you will find a Christmas gift box in your dock. Please click on “Get Items from Storage” then check your Gifts section to find your present. We thank you for your patience as these gifts were delivered. Happy Holidays!
New Year’s Contest!
New Year’s is approaching, and we’ve started to think about what resolution we want to make. Should we vow to log in every day so that we never miss the chance to play Jumbleberry Fields? Will we vow only to feed our pets nutritious foods? There are so many possibilities. What about you? We want to hear your Webkinz-related New Year’s resolution! The five (5) most original entries of 1000 characters or less will each win a Party Machine virtual item (the “Prize”), one of the rare items that can only be acquired randomly by adopting a Pet Of The Month. Notice: Santakinz Slept In, Christmas Presents Delayed
Hello Webkinz members! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We hope you are enjoying this special day. We have some news regarding the Christmas presents which will be delivered today as part of our Christmas celebration. There has been a slight delay in the process through which we deliver presents. As a result, presents have not yet been handed out. Many of us here at Ganz are working diligently right now to get this fixed, and presents should be handed out soon. In the mean time, please enjoy the other great activities going on today, and know that just by logging into the site, you’ll be entered into a contest for a chance to win the rare Sweet Tooth Tiger! How exciting is that? Before long, you’ll have your special Christmas presents, too! We’ll have more on this story as it develops. Keep checking back here on Webkinz Newz for updates!
Update On Presents Direct From Santakinz!
Good news, everyone! We’ve received word from Santakinz himself that his long journey across the whole of Webkinz World has begun! Unfortunately, after hurrying from his workshop to make up for time lost from oversleeping, he ran head long into a snowstorm! Though Santakinz has now begun to make his way from room to room, delivering presents to Webkinz around the world, the snow is keeping him from making his journey faster. He told us to let everyone know that he is well on his way to everyone’s rooms, but he needs time in order to complete his trip around Webkinz World safely. He said not to worry, though, as everyone will receive their gifts sometime today! We’re glad to hear that Santakinz is weathering the storm and working hard to get us all the presents! Keep enjoying yourself in Webkinz World with all our Christmas activities, and if you haven’t recieved your presents yet, don’t worry: Santakinz is on his way!
Santakinz’ Long Night Nearing Its End
With his longest working day of the year finally coming to an end, Santakinz has sent us another update on the status of his long journey. As exhausted as he is, his trek across Webkinz World continues. The snow storm which slowed him down refused to let up, and he has been delivering presents well through the night. Many members have already received their gifts, but there are still some who have not been visited yet. If you haven’t received your gift, Santakinz wants you to know that he will be personally delivering every last present, and that the wait shouldn’t be much longer. Because of the delay, Santakinz will be placing the presents right in your dock automatically, meaning you’ll find your presents waiting for you the next time you log in after he has visited your room. You may also need to retrieve your items from storage through the dock to see your present. We here at Ganz would like to apologize for this unfortunate turn of events.
