Roberta Moves
Cowabelle here – I just got home and boy am I tired! We had Roberta’s moving party today and it was a ton of fun. We basically helped Roberta move her stuff all morning (whew!) and then Salley and I left all sneaky-like. We snuck over to my house and got some chips, fruit punch and a carrot cake. We surprised Roberta and her parents – and they were so pleased that they ordered pizza! We spread out a sheet on the floor and ate, picnic-style! What a great way to end a busy day!
The Move is DONE!
Hey everyone! Roberta here with some pretty exciting news – I’m writing to you from MY NEW HOUSE! With a TON of help from some movers and friends, we moved all our stuff this morning and now we’re just starting to unpack. I have to say, I absolutely ADORE my new house. It’s bigger and has lots of room for all of our stuff. I didn’t realize it, but we were getting a little cramped in our old place. I’m not even sure how we would’ve fit a baby in there! And I’m actually CLOSER to Cowabelle’s house now – how awesome is that? The only thing I don’t love about my new house is the decorating style that the previous owners had. My dad said that they had very ‘eclectic taste’, whatever that means (I think it means that nothing matches). Anyway, here are a few pictures of our new house that my parents took before we moved in. Please pardon the decorating. Thank goodness Hailey and Elwin are going to redecorate!
Friends Again
Dear Diary, Well, today was a MUCH better day. The ‘Kinz are a club again! We were all standing around at recess, being mad at each other, when Cowabelle came over to Roberta and asked about whether she was all packed for her move. Roberta said, “I’m surprised you’re speaking to me. I thought you’d be too busy planning for the party.” And Cowabelle said, “Look, I’ve been thinking…it’s not right if only four of us go. We’re the ‘Kinz, right?” Roberta looked SO happy to hear that. She gave Cowabelle a big hug. Stoogles came over to see what was going on, and we filled him in. Guess what HE said? “I was thinking the same thing. We’re a club. She invites us all or none of us go. I don’t even like Purr-Cilla very much anyway!” And when we talked to Molly and Sparky, they agreed that we should stick together. So now NONE of us are going to Purr-Cilla’s party. We’re going to have a picnic in the park instead. Sounds like a lot more fun – especially because we’ll all be together. Love, Salley
Postcard from Laurabeard: coming home?
Dear Nibbles, Hi! How are the wedding plans going? I hope everything is going smoothly, but if you need any help, don’t worry about it because I’d be happy to help. How can I help when I’m out in the middle of the ocean on a pirate ship, you ask? Well, guess what? I’m coming home! Dogbeard says that we’ve had such a crazy trip with our trek through the jungle to find Matilda, our discovery of the island where Easter Eggs come from and then that weird business with the stowaway. He thinks that the crew could really use an extended shore leave and we’re both anxious to get home and see our mom and dad. So we’ve set a course for Kinzville and I hope that we will be back in time for Plumpy’s wedding. I really hope so because I so want to be there to see you in your beautiful dress. And Plumpy too, of course! Oh Nibbles! I’m so excited to see you again soon! Love Laurabeard
Plumpy’s wedding prep – flowers and makeup!
Wiggles Pig here. Oh readers, I think Plumpy is starting to get a bit nervous. She keeps calling me to remind me of how much there still is to do. But I’m not worried. We’ve got everything under control. But I did think she could use a break so I arranged for us to meet with Persephone today to help Plumpy choose her make up for the wedding. What could be more relaxing than lying back in a lounger and letting someone else apply make-up to your face, right? At least, that’s what I thought. But it hasn’t exactly gone according to plan. Everything that Persephone does, Plumpy says “Too much! Too much!” I totally get it. I finally pulled Persephone aside and explained that Plumpy just wants a really natural, understated look for her wedding. Persephone is pretty flashy so it took a bit of coaxing, but at the end of the afternoon, Plumpy looked perfect: soft blue eyeshadow to complement her skin tones and shimmering pink lipstick that picked up the color in the sash from her dress exquisitely. Of course, it hadn’t exactly been the relaxing experience I’d hoped for but I knew that our next stop … Read more
