Crafty Critterz: Webkinz Greeting Cards

Submitted by: moo with clyde             What you need: Blue, Pink and Yellow paper Scissors Glue or Tape Markers, Crayons or Colored pencils Pencil or Pen What you do: 1. Take the blue paper and fold it in half. 2. Take the pink paper and cut a square/rectangle small enough to fit on the front of the card (without covering up the entire blue card). 3. Tape or glue the pink square/rectangle there. 4. Take the yellow paper and cut a small shape out of it. 5. Tape that small shape you cut anywhere on the card. 6. On an open space on the front of the card, write any greeting or holiday message you want. 7. Decorate the front of the card any way you like. 8. On the inside of the card write any friendly or holiday message to the person you want to send the card to. 9. Crafty Critterz: Bug Themed Gift Bag

Submitted by: sar with pie                   What you need: Gift bag Bug themed wooden animals Glue Tissue paper What you do: 1.      Lay gift bag flat on table. 2.      Using glue stick, glue wood bugs in a pretty pattern about ¾ down the gift bag 3.      Let glue dry before filling with goodies. 4.      Once glue has dried, fill bag with goodies. 5.      Take two pieces of tissue paper, pinch at the center and stuff into gift bag. Crafty Critterz: Webkinz First Aid Kit

Submitted by: mpg with Lucy         What you need: Small red box White construction paper Red construction paper White yarn for handle Tape Glue Ruler Scissors First Aid Items: Extra Stuffing Thread Needle Thimble Gauze Tape Measure What you do: 1.     Cut a white square of paper (about 2” x 2 ½”) and glue it to top of box lid. 2.     Cut a red heart to fit inside of the white square and glue down. 3.     Use two pieces of tape to hinge the lid to the bottom of box. 4.     Poke holes using scissors in front of box lid to attach yarn handle. 5.     Cut a section of yard and thread through holes in box lid. Crafty Critterz: Daisy Tortoise

Submitted by: ale with flower               What you need: 5 Large Marshmallows Cotton Balls Half of a foam ball 2 small googly eyes 5 toothpicks Glue What you do: 1. Stick tooth picks into foam ball. 2. Place marshmallows on the tooth picks. 3. Glue google eyes onto the head of your daisy tortoise. 4. Glue cotton balls onto the top of the half ball. 5. Crafty Critterz: Ferrets Favorite Cream Puffs

Submitted by: mad with Alfie               What you need: 1/2 cup Butter Powdered Sugar 1 cup all-purpose Flour 4 Eggs 1 cup of Water 1/8 tsp Salt Sauce Pan Wooden Spoon Filling: Pudding, Whipping Cream and/or Fresh Fruit. What you do: Have an adult assist with steps 1-3 and 6-7 1.     In a sauce pan combine butter, water, salt and bring to a boil. 2.     Add flour and stir fast.  Stir till it forms a firm ball. 3.     Remove from pan and cool for 10 minutes. 4.     Add eggs and beat with a wooden spoon until smooth. 5.     Drop tablespoon sized batter on a greased cookie sheet pan. 6.     Bake at 400 and cook for 30-35 minutes.  Let cool. 7.     Cut each in half and fill with any kind of filling (pudding, whipping cream or fresh fruit). 8.     Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.   Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? Crafty Critterz: Starburst

Submitted by: san with giggles               What you need: Pink and Purple Construction Paper Tape Scissors Paper Clip What you do: 1.       Cut 3” x 3” square pieces of pink construction paper, you will need 3 pieces. 2.       Cut 3” x 3” square pieces of purple construction paper, you will need 3 pieces. 3.       Fold each piece of paper on the diagonal in half and fold again. 4.       With the fold facing down, cut through both layers on the fold. 5.       Open up each triangle completely. 6.       Roll the smallest flaps together with a little overlap and tape. 7.       Flip over, and Repeat with the medium set of flaps, overlap and tape. 8.       Flip over one last time and repeat with the last set of large flaps, overlap and tape. 9.       Pinch each piece together alternating colors and tape together. 10.   Pierce the top of one section with paper clip and hang in your favorite spot.   Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? Crafty Critterz: Character Themed Sugar Cookies

Submitted by: Nan with Gigi                   What you need: 2 cups butter, softened 2 cups white sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 6 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 2 bowls Sprinkles Icing sugar Water What you do: In one large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir flour, baking powder, and salt into sugar and egg mixture. Cover, and chill dought overnight. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400 degress F. With rolling pin – roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 inch thick. Using your favorite character cookie cutters – cut as many cookies as you can.  Roll up scrap pieces of dough and place in refrigerator. Place cookies 1 inch apart on cookie sheets and bake 6 to 8 minutes. Repeat step 7 and 8 until you use all the dough. Once all cookies have cooled, completely mix icing sugar and water to make a paste. Crafty Critterz: Blueberry Bumper Car

Submitted by: ted with louey                     What you need: Tissue Box Glue Stick Tape Scissors Pencil Blue and Green Construction Paper White Foam or White Cardboard Green Pipe Cleaner What you do: 1.     Trace all sides of the tissue box, (except the side with the hole in it) onto blue construction paper. 2.     Cut off the top face of the box (the face with the hole). 3.     Cut out the sides from the blue construction paper, and glue onto the five remaining sides of the box. 4.     Cut openings into both sides of the box (not the front and back sides). 5.     Now, wrap a piece of green construction paper (about 1” high) around the bottom of the box. This will be the “bumper.” Tape in place. 6.     Glue on two white circles from foam or cardboard onto the box front for “head lights.” 7.     Tape a rectangular piece of blue construction paper to the top front of the bumper car. 8.     Bend the green pipe cleaner a little near the top, and tape the stem’s bottom to the back inside of the car. Crafty Critterz: Webkinz DJ Turntable

Submitted by: inf with husk             What you need: Black, Yellow Construction paper Construction Paper (2-5 colors) 2 screws or nails Shoebox Black marker Scissors Knife (have an adult assist when using the knife) Glue What you do: 1.     Glue 1 piece of construction paper to top of shoebox. 2.     Cut two circles out of black construction paper. 3.     Cut two rings out of yellow construction paper. 4.     Glue one yellow ring to each circle. 5.     Using a nail or screw to punch hole through middle of construction paper and through the lid of the box.  Have an adult assist with this step. 6.     Cut 6 slits in top of box with knife.  Have an adult assist with this step. 7.     Label slits: On/Off, Pitch and Volume. 8.     Cut six 2 inch straight line cut outs of colored construction paper. 9.     Fold strips in half and then fan out top. 10.  Insert strips into pre-cut straight line. Crafty Critterz: Webkinz Hockey Game

Submitted by: mad with Wingy           What you need: 6 Black pipe cleaners 5 pieces of white yarn 1 Black Button 1 piece of white construction paper Scissors Hole puncher What you do: Goal 1.     Take 4 pieces of pipe cleaners and put them together to make a goal. 2.     Take 5 pieces of white yarn and tie them to the goal. Hockey Stick 3.     Take 2 pieces of pipe cleaners and make a little circle on both. 4.     Make a little piece of pipe cleaner and make a circle on one end of the pipe cleaner. Whistle Necklace 5.     Now with the circle, make a little pipe cleaner (about 1 inch) in the shape of a circle. 6.     Take 1 piece construction paper and draw a little whistle and cut it out. 7.     With the circle and pipe cleaner (1 inch), and with the little whistle, hole punch a little hole in the pipe cleaner and rap around the whistle   Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? Crafty Critterz: Ice Cream Delight

Submitted by: sta with Lily             What you need: 2 Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 scoop of any flavored ice cream Icing Mini Marshmallows 1 Candle What you do: Take 1 scoop of ice cream and place it on one of the cookies. Take the other cookie and place it on top of the ice cream. Put lots of icing in the middle to hold the candle. You can also make a design on the cookie with the icing. Crafty Critterz: Red & White Cake Balls

Submitted by: Gia with Dant                       What you need: 1 box cake mix 1 16oz can frosting 1 package white chocolate chips 1 package red chocolate chips 1 large bowl 2 small bowls White candy sticks Green planters foam What you do: 1.     Prepare and bake cake according to package directions. 2.     Once cake has cooled completely crumble cake into large bowl. 3.     Add can of frosting to bowl and mix with your fingers to make “dough”. 4.     Hand roll the dough into balls and place cookie sheet. 5.     Chill in the freezer for couple of hours. 6.     In smaller bowls, melt chocolate chips in microwave. 7.     Push one candy stick into each ball and dip into melted chocolate, shake off excess and place stick side down into green planters foam. 8.     Decorate each ball and place in decorative glass jar. Submitted by: Ali with Alie           What you need: Any kind of box Tape Glue Red & Yellow Paint Ruler Cotton Balls Scissors – Have an adult assist with all the cutting in this Craft What to do: 1.       Use the ruler to measure a diameter of about 7 inches on the cardboard box. 2.       Draw and cut out the circle. 3.       Cut out another circle identical to the first one.  Set them aside. 4.       Cut out a strip of cardboard that measure 4.5 inches by 20.25 inches. 5.       Tape one circle to each side of the cardboard strip. 6.       Cut out another strip that measure 5.5 inches by 10 inches. 7.       Fold in 2 inches on each side of the 2nd strip you just cut out. 8.       From there, fold that in half. 9.       Tape together the two 2 inches parts to form a triangle. 10.    On the one part (the first parts you have already put together) stretch a long piece of tape across to hold together the two circles, so the middle does not bend. 11.    To help prevent bending, attach another piece of cardboard to the bottom. 12.    Place that part over … Read more

Crafty Critterz: Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip
