Salley’s Valentine’s Party Problem
I’m having a bit of a problem. See, Valentine’s Day is coming up and Stoogles is convinced that we should have a Valentine’s party. Which would be fine, if we were going to have it in the forest at his house. But NO! He wants to have it in town, at my house. Which wouldn’t be a problem if my mom was going to be home and able to chaperone. But she won’t be! She has a late meeting at work that night. I told Stoogles that we can’t have a party at my house without my mom there, but he said we’ll be really careful and only invite our closest friends. He asked if Mom would object to the ‘Kinz coming over. I said no, and he said, “What about the ‘Kinz and a few of their closest friends?” I said probably not, but I’m really worried about what he means by ‘closest friends.’ I keep trying to convince him to do it at his house, but he said his family wouldn’t appreciate the noise in the house, and it’s too cold out for an outside party. Love is in the air as Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and we’ve got the perfect contest for the heart-warming holiday. We want you to write us a romantic rhyming couplet about the Love Lion! The Love Lion is our newest Valentine’s Day seasonal pet, and there is no better way to celebrate its release than to put your words of love into rhyme! Never written a rhyming couplet before? It’s easy. A rhyming couplet is a pair of two lines where the last words of each line rhyme! Come up with a fun one about the Love Lion and love, submit it, and you could win!
