Not what I was expecting, I was so excited when I heard that there would be new pets released. I am a little disappointed how they look. The pets look cute in the new game the plush don’t really do anything for me. These pets are not cute/adorable like the Webkinz plush that I am use to and have collected for many years. The pets that you are showing seem to be to expensive. They look very similar to the plush pets that I am seeing in all the stores in my area. They sell for only $6.99 Canadian, I actually think that they are cute. Sorry Ganz I will not be purchasing any of these I think these are too expensive. The quality of the new pets does not look as good as the Webkinz Plush I have.
My initial reaction was that of surprise because I thought they’d look more like the old plushies, but they’re growing on me :) Still can’t figure out the Golden Retriever’s paw colour–gold paw for a golden retriever????
Maybe the unique paw will be something that makes a baby unique?
Yeah, I can see that based on the sample baby (which has a pink left paw) shown in the eStore listing, but I like symmetry :)
Ganz- You are amazing!!! Wow! I am so in love with these new plush pets! They were worth the wait! I am usually not big on those large eyes, but it will do. How amazing that you are allowing us to use the pets for both games… so generous! After 13 years with Webkinz, I am now a preschool teacher and I get to use my Webkinz just about everyday to create fun and enjoyable experiences for the students. They absolutely love your plush as they are the cutest ever! Oh how I love Webkinz!
Will you still make the classic plushies?

Oh it makes me so happy that they have webkinz classic codes to, these are really awesome!
To be honest I am not thrilled. I loved the original webkinz pets. My favorites were signatures, but these are more expensive than the signatures were, not counting when they retired. And they had the extra items and more realistic plush and avatars. These look a lot more cartoonish. I understand needing to change how the pets look to regenerate interest of the current generation. Toys change. But these changed in a way I did not expect. They look like copies of another line as previously mentioned. I don’t want imitations of the other line of plush, I really want Webkinz to be their own unique brand like they were before.
Another question, will the new plush continue to come with two codes in the future or is it just for the first launch? I would love it to continue to come with two codes as the new game is so fun and exciting to discover even though the classic game will always be most dear to my heart as it was the one I grew up with.
Finally!! So exciting with new plush! However I am wondering if you will be retailing these in European stores in the future? I grew up in the US loving Webkinz and have a huge collection that I have continued to grow even now in my early 20’s. I would loooooove to purchase new plush but it is near impossible at the moment where I am currently living in Sweden. Shipping would cost as much as the pet it self if even more, specially with taxes and customs it would cost me a fortune. However, my siblings and I are extremely excited (even my Swedish cousins that I’ve recruited to my Webkinz loving club:)!) and hope to death that it will be more available and accessible to your European fans!
yes please!! i’m in the UK and i really want them but it’d probably end up being £100+ for both… let’s hope they sell well enough to come to our countries!
