Sophie’s Garden Tour Day 1: Growing Seeds!

Sophie here with the first stop on our Garden Tour. Today we will be taking a look at Growing Seeds. Growing seeds are a wonderful way to provide food for your pets and create fun and unique features in your garden.

Growing Seeds can be used in Outdoor and Treetop rooms in Webkinz World. Each seed grows one consumable food per harvest that can be fed to your pets. Harvest times change depending on the seeds, but once you harvest a crop, the cycle starts over and in no time, you’ll be able to harvest again!

There are all sorts of wacky and wonderful seeds that grow foods your pets will love – Sourberry Wild Gummy Seeds, Extra Cheesy Macaroni Seeds, Sweet Sushi Plants Seeds, and Ice Cream Sandwich Seeds are just a few of the seeds featured in this lush garden.

You can even plant Jumbleberry, Pickleberry, Moonberry and Sugarberry seeds so you can grow berries to add to your jars on Jumbleberry Fields!

Be sure to visit Ganz eStore and check out all the awesome Growing Seeds there are to choose from!

Well spotted!! And I would be thrilled if it would be a plush to add to my growing horse collection! It’s the perfect shade of brown to receive a great spice name like Cinnamon, Ginger, or Nutmeg!

I’d be happy to see some more seeds added to WW for KC. Maybe radishes, turnips, peppers, cucumbers, to name a few. I’ve always fed my pets mostly farm fresh foods and grown enough food in the beginning to earn lots and lots of KC! And this was back when we had to weed and water plants daily! You spend a fair amount of KC for the seeds, but the harvest pays for this before you know it. Pumpkins, watermelons, and cabbage give you the best way to move your hunger meter. Love your garden Sophie. Looking forward to seeing more gardens from you!

Exquisite kitchen garden, Sophie! Yum, yum! What are the plants growing on trellises along the back fence? I don’t remember seeing those before. And what are the plants between them that look like pink tulips? Thanks!

Hi Tropical Girl, it takes about a week for your garden to grow seeds that are ready to harvest. Depending upon what you’re growing, I’ve had it take six days and sometimes eight days. Btw, pumpkins and apples actually feed your pet but I’ve fed my pets strawberries and watermelon from my garden and it actually lowered their Hunger, not raised it, so be careful what you spend your hard-earned KC on. With luv, Essie****

That happened to my pets too for a few days, when a lot of random foods made their hunger meters go down instead of up. Fortunately, my Farm Fresh veggies & fruits are working normally again now.

I am having problems with tomatoes and strawberries.

      • 1Emerald1 says:

How can they be behaving differently in different accounts? I don’t get it but this sort of inconsistency between accounts happens all the time. Steve, please explain it to us!

I only grow strawberries for decoration. They are really pretty just left alone unharvested. VERY few of my pets like strawberries. The only ones I can think of off hand are my adorable little Cats on 2 of my accounts that I got for free back when you had a choice between a Cat or Dog when you opened an account. On a side note, I wish I’d known that that feature was going to change. I’d have opened another account just to get a Dog, since I think that was the only way to aquire one of these pets. Anyway, Caliope and Melony like strawberries, but still like the other foods better. BTW, my granddaughter opened my second account as a surprise, chose the cat, and thought it was cute to spell Melony like that. Of course, Nana here, thinks it is also. >{^;^}<

I love seeds! It would be really nice if it told in the seed’s description how long it takes until harvest.

    • 1Emerald1 says:

I’d like that info too, TropicalGirl, since the crops take different lengths of time to ripen. Some of those estore seeds are spectacular, I especially love the sunflowers!

    I wish for JACK-O-LANTERN SEEDS !!!

  9. lovlyhorses4 says:

Why are growing seeds stored in the food? You can’t feed them to pets. They should be in the special stuff like the saplings.

    • 1Emerald1 says:

Because they turn into food, I guess. It took me awhile to realize that’s where the seeds are in my dock, back when I was a new player. I kept winning seeds & didn’t know where they went! LOL ;)

I wish that there were more kinzcash seeds. I LOVE the sunflower seeds, ice cream sandwich seeds, jumbleberry seeds, sugarberry seeds, pickleberry seeds, moonberry seeds & skyberry seeds. Pittiesrule
