I saw on the news today that Adobe is doing away with Flash for good in 2020. I hope Webkinz has been preparing for this. I don’t want to lose Webkinz World.
We have been preparing for a few years now. Everything that we continue to add to the Webkinz mobile app between now and the end of 2020 is designed to work after Flash player is gone.
Glad to hear that, but will the website work too? I don’t have a mobile device. If it goes mobile only I won’t be able to play anymore.
Once Flash player is removed from web browsers in 2020, Webkinz will be an app that you can download to your mobile device or to a desktop/laptop computer.

Thank you very much for answering this, I’ve been asking the same question on here for quite awhile. Nice to know there’s a plan. It sounds like a huge conversion, I’m sure it will be another adventure for all concerned.
Dang. I don’t like the idea of “app-ifying” everything. Pretty soon computers will just be a giant smartphone. Not that I can change anything, though.
Hope that means Webkinz will last until 2020 and beyond!!
Yay! This Flash thing concerned me as well! I cannot loose Webkinz I am addicted lol!
I’m very glad that Webkinz will continue on computers. I just hope it won’t be one of those very big apps for good computers.
That makes me worried. I hope we will still be able to trade and talk in kinz chat plus in the future.

I have Windows 10 with NINITE I use to UPDATE JAVA . Flash is part of Windows 10. Will I lose WEBKINZ I play chrome and firefox ? I just dont want to lose !
Well, I hadn’t known about the Flash player going away eventually, but wow, am I glad you guys did! xD I would really miss webkinz; making rooms, collecting cool prizes, talking with my friends… or if the Newz and forums went away! Oh, that’d be terrible. I’d hardly ever get to talk to my friends. >.< I'm glad you guys have a plan and have been thinking about this for a while. Thanks for answering, Steve!
August will be another fun-filled month. I love the new Wacky prizes and looking forward to learning what the school giveaways will be. Can we have a hint what the school challenge grand prize wil be?

For me personally, it was kinda boring and long. XP I’m sort of glad that school is coming so I can see more of my friends and have something to do, but… the schoolwork… I am not excited for that! XD
