Last month we were excited to announce the introduction of a whole new way to get Webkinz Pets – Pet Medallions! This month, we are pleased to add six new pets that you can earn for FREE by playing in Webkinz World! That’s 18 pets you can collect!
Pet Medallion pets work just like regular pets. When you adopt them to your account you will receive a Pet Specific Item and Pet Specific Food. Unlike other pets however, Pet Medallion pets will not extend your membership.

I raided more trading cards in Dollar Tree last time and didn’t get any mystical panda
It’s frustrating. There doesn’t seem to be any consistency in scoring and getting medallions. I played “Cash Cow scored 3562 got a medallion. Played another day got a score of 3984 no medallion or prize.
WOW! These are sooooooo CUTE! I would definitely go for the Arctic fox… Just I am having trouble getting ANY medallions… I play the games with the present icon, and I NEVER get any… it’s pretty sad actually…
I mean, there are SOOOOO many pets you can get with medallions, and im just wondering…. WHY? Why are you asking our favourite when there is little to no chance we will get them in Webkinz world, or ANY for that matter… I am thoroughly confused and puzzled… (confuzzeled) XD
I just won a Batik Elephant medallion!! That is what I want so bad. Only 99 more to go. I received it playing the game of the day, Jumbleberry Blast, and didn’t get a very high score – around 10,000.
I just won another medallion playing Jumbleberry Blast again. My score was around 14,000. This time it was the American Golden dog medallion. This is unusual for me.

I think it takes too many to get a pet
I agree with you. I think Webkinz World should consider making it way less than 100+ medallions to get a pet. For example, the Stone Lion, 250 medallions? That is WAY too much. Let’s say I actually wanted to get the Stone Lion. It would take days and nights just to get enough medallions to adopt him! It seems unfair since all the medallions come randomly (you never know which pet you’re going to get). AND it’s too difficult to get enough points in the games to even earn a medallion! I understand that Webkinz World wants to make the medallions exciting to trade, but when are we ever going to be able to trade if the system is such a long process? Maybe they should make it 10 medallions, or even 20. That sounds a little bit more reasonable to me. These numbers are better for the age group Webkinz World is geared towards.
@charlene90 I TOTALLY agree. I almost NEVER get medallions and even when I DO, which is ALMOST never, They are never pairs, and I want to add that if you are making a Wild token, I know it can be used on any pet… but really? 10 tokens for one. I’m not sure ANYONE will get a free webkinz pet at this rate, if you do, than lucky you…
You shouldn’t have added the mystical panda. Many of us have paid good money on hundreds of packs of trading cards in hopes of getting the Mystical Panda, but now it’s free? Very annoying.
I think it’s cool; in a way, it’s giving another chance to everyone who paid money for trading cards and didn’t find a panda. These pets aren’t just “free” after all; it’ll take some time collecting medallions to find enough of the right ones. It’s still a very special pet. :-)
How? I can’t figure out even how to get the coins and I can’t figure out how to use the ones I got the first week, and those aren’t even close to what I need for any pets, and since then nothing, what am I doing wrong,, how do I get them?
I really don’t think I had medallions for the first time I had.. I earned the batik elephant and raccutie. All you do is earn more high scores in games and get more medallions. I did in Cash Cow thus far and I’m so addicted to Cash Cow… im sadly. :(
Medallions: I can’t find any, I’ve tried games different place different sights, just nothing,,,can anyone help me figure out how to get anymore med.? Please I haven’t seen a coin etc since it started; birdfolks
I like how they added the mystical panda, because the only other way you could get it was with trading cards (I got a whole box of the packs a couple of years ago, and i got a bunch of crafty kimmy’s workstations (I think I traded most of them, I could only find one on my account), and I also got some trading card posters from it and the porcupine and mystical panda. I think my favorite thing from the trading cards i got was the story.

I love these pets but this makes it harder to get one, because the medallions are random. May I suggest a challenge, a hard one, to win a pet or a whole bunch of medallions of one pet? So far, the medallions are really kind of random only.
Yeah, they only added new ones to make it harder.
They didn’t add the new ones to make it harder; they actually made improvements to make the medallions EASIER to get when they added the new ones in.
It will make it harder to collect enough tokens to complete a collection. They have supposedly made it easier to get tokens, but with 6 more pets, that means so many more different tokens you could get. This means it will take longer to get a pet.
