UPDATE: We are aware of the glitch with the Gem Hunt Kit and this will be fixed after on next update on February 18th.
Mayor Arte has returned to Kinzville Park to hand out gifts to all of his friends and fans!
From February 2 – 9, use the Things To Do menu to visit Arte at Kinzville Park. You’ll see him standing near Mr. Moo’s ice cream stand:
You can click on Arte to collect a gift from him each day. Each gift contains one of four new prizes: a Mayor Arte Action Figure, Blue Lightning Skateboard, Curio Shop Trunk or a Gem Hunt Kit that you can drag into a room and click on to open:
Each gift awards one of these prizes randomly, so visit Arte every day at Kinzville Park for the best chance to collect all four!

My Gem Kit was disappearing, too. Then I saw a pile of gems on the tile that I had put my Kit on. The gems may be there on the floor somewhere. Mine was not letting my pet move, because it became an obstacle. Try it!
Surprised no one has mentioned the disappearance of the European and Asian time zones. I was told it was because of technical issues, but I have a feeling it’s to accomodate the development of the online game. If you’re disappointed like I am, please say so here! Perhaps, they’ll see fit to bring them back for those of us who have been using them for 20 years.
I also had my kit disappear! Very frustrating!
There seems to be an issue with the gem hunt kit…once placed in a room it’s gione and can’t be found within the room or dock. Loggonh out of account and logining back in doesn’t restore gem hunt kit to account.

it weird that it looks like you can place it in the room and it’s not food but then it is just gone.
Webkinz hasn’t reset for today. All the activities are the same as yesterday and say they have already been done. Also when the gem kit is placed in in the room it has to be clicked to make it appear. What is going on?????
I think I know what the problem is. The time is incorrect. The time is about 15 hours behind our time here.
oh, so you are even worse off than I am. I am 6 hours behind. The daily activities end at 4 am for me.
I see I’m not the only one with a disappearing gem kit.

@KarenaJ – That just happened to me, too! It was in my dock! I went to another room and tried to place it into the room then….Poof! It was gone! Went through my dock TWICE and could not find it! I thought they were supposed to be “fixing” these glitches? :-/ Hopefully, it will be fixed soon and our prize/s will show up in our docks! These prizes area all so cute! Hope we can get at least one of each! Have a great week! :-)

Same! This happened to me, too!
All of a sudden, the time which is displayed on Classic is the EST time. Normally, the time shown when I log on is GMT (British time), which is 5 hours later. This means, the activity that would be on right now (dinner) is not on because it says it’s only 12:12. So I can’t do the daily activities, or have to wait until late at night in order to be able to do them. Please change this back the way it used to be.

I have the same problem as well. I hope they’ll fix it soon!
I just checked, it’s still not fixed. My friend figured maybe they are using a different server than usually and this is causing the problem.
Sorry to hear that this issue is happening to you guys! I really hope that Ganz gets this fixed and it gets changed back for you!

I commented on this issue on another post but will repeat here: I sent an email to Webkinz customer service regarding this issue, and their reply was: “Due to ongoing technical issues as it pertains to to having multiple time zones, all servers are now in standard KinzTime.” I am disappointed as well.
I was designing a Valentine display in my mall and was using a cow flower planter. When put in the room it disappeared. Not in room not in dock. ???

I got it too and the same thing happened to me. I dragged it to my room and it disappeared and there was nothing in my dock.

The same thing happened to me. As soon as I tried to open the gem hunt in my room, it disappeared.

When I put the Gem Hunt Kit in my room I didn’t see anything happen there was nothing there BUT if you click in the area where you placed it, it will then appear on the floor. Hope this helps!!!
