The rare Aztec Theme has been exclusively found in the Curio Shop for many years, but that all comes to an end on March 14th, 2023 (midnight, EST).
This amazing ancient room theme will be retired, becoming a part of Webkinz history! If you haven’t collected all the pieces to this theme yet, after March 14th, you’ll need to visit the Trading Room at the Webkinz Classic Clubhouse (available only on the desktop app) to find someone willing to part with these precious artifacts!
NOTE: The Aztec items sold by the Ganz eStore and the exclusive Ancient Aztec Stone Statue will NOT be retired on March 15th.
Starting on March 15, the Fun to Be Young theme will be added to the pool or rare items in the Webkinz Classic Curio Shop.

I think the Aztec Theme, and the other few themes in Next should be made tradeable again. I understand that the reason it stopped being tradeable was because there were a few incidents but I don’t think the consequences should affect everyone. Since the chat system in the clubhouse is monitored, they should be able to see the players that were causing the problem and the consequences should affect them, not everyone. I traded some of my pieces to players who either needed them, or simply chose not to play Next whether they tried it or not, I would never discourage anyone from playing Next, as a matter of fact I always reccomend players to try Next if they haven’t already, it’s really fun and definitly worth giving a chance!
Oh noooooo…… I always thought this was one of the most beautiful room themes in Classic. So sad to hear it’s leaving :( :(
will there at least be a new curio shop exclusive theme replacing this one? :(
Once again, I’m kicking myself for selling things off. When you are newer and need Kinzcash, it’s easy to sale away items, then after you play for a longer time, you have plenty of Kinzcash and wish you had the sold off items back smh lol
This is so, so sad. Why retire this beautiful theme? I would like to make a suggestion. Could you please have the RARE item stay all day (not just an hour) like you did Doug the Dog in the Collector Room? You can only receive one RARE item any way. That would help us get the items we are missing. I do not believe I have ever seen the Azure Aztec Fridge, and I hardly ever see the Tribal Totem. We would love to finish our rooms before they retire. Thank you.

The Ancient Aztec Stone Statue Rhino is in the Wish Factory. Is that still going to be available there, or is that retiring too? I know it is also an Exclusive item, so could see it not being used there.
Great question! I would like to know the answer to that too. Hopefully someone from staff will take a moment to clarify what if anything is happening to the extra pieces, not found at the Curio Shop. I never picked up the slide or the throne because of how much they cost in eStore points. But now that I know that the rest of the theme is retiring, if they are going to disappear too, it might be time to loosen the purse strings and make the investment to finish the collection before it’s all gone.
Thanks to the staffer who took a moment in the article above to clarify about the eStore items and the exclusive item. It’s good to know that we will still at least be able to get those.
It has been a long time since a new rare theme has been available at the curio shop. So I agree with Sammy1, the New Aztec theme should be made available to the classic webkinz players
i think I’m still missing a couple.
I am sad I work hard to get the set but am still missing half of it. :(
