We’re back in school and you know what that means: an apple for the teacher! In fact there are lots of apples for everyone in Webkinz Next! From August 14 to August 27 look for apples around Kinzville and walk over them to collect them.
When you’ve collected 20 apples or more, you can trade in 20 for a random prize. Collect up to 50 apples per day.
There are 9 prizes to collect:

- Table of Elements
- Lime Green Lunchbag
- Orange Lunchbag
- Class Cork Board
- Blue Lunchbag
- Kinzville Academy Grey Skirt
- Kinzville Academy Blouse
- Wall Pencil Sharpener
And remember, there’s now trading in Webkinz Next! That means that if you miss a prize, or get multiples, or just want to collect more of a certain item, you can always ask your friends for a trade!

Event is still bugged, by the way. Apples stop dropping if you have 50, and as soon as you spend them you can collect more. So there’s no daily limit, you can just keep collecting & spending. Just can’t hold onto more than 50.
Apple event is working but the apples disappear very quickly so grab them fast. At least you can collect more than 20 at a time and lots are falling. Yeah!
Thanks for bringing this up @cherylkb! I came on WKN to say the very same thing. Even my pets who have skill cards added and supposedly have speed boosts can’t gather all the apples before they disappear. As I have been waiting for days to actually see the apples, this is extra frustrating. PLEASE let all of the apples stay until our pet grabs them all. (Stopping out-of-bounds apples – rooftops, and in the woods – would help too!)
The cake and apple events are full of problems. Yesterday I couldn’t play the cake event and today no apples are dropping and I emptied my prize collection. This should be fun but it really isn’t!!! Even if you have to take down the site to fix it please do.

Why are there always so many issues with new events? You would think the programs would be tested before using. Couldn’t join cake event yesterday; today apples not dropping; what’s next?
How am I going to collect the apples when I get “Connection Issue” when I try to log on? This happened Wednesday after the update. I could not access Next for 3 days. Now again I can’t log on. Ganz what is going on that you can’t fix this problem?
Please check your internet connection. You may want to reset your router.

I had that problem yesterday. Rebooted modem and restarted computer. Those did not help but clearing the cashe for Next finally did though it took several tries.
Is there a trick to getting the apples to drop? I haven’t been able to get any today. I tried logging off and getting back on. I tried changing pets, even changing accounts. Any suggestions would be appreciated. .
I haven’t gotten any apples today either. I also tried doing all the things you mentioned. Bummer!
When you have 20 apples, you have to trade them. No apples will fall if you have 20.
Thank you for answering, but I tried that. I currently have zero apples, cleared my cache, switched pets, waited for about 10-15 minutes, went into and out of several of the shops in town square… I’m feeling stumped.

Thank you. This was helpful now that apples are dropping. However, on the day I posted, I had zero apples. As I said, it has been fixed. I am making sure I use my apples as soon as I get twenty so I get my daily maximum.
thank you to the person who complained about the cake event forcing you into camera view. VERY BAD for those of us with motion sickness. Can’t play, but I hope everyone else enjoys.
How come the falling objects (this time apples) go into the trees or around the outer rim of the game where we can’t even get to them? I was at 19 and saw two go into the trees. I finally had to log out to hopefully clear them, and then wait again for the lone ‘one’ apple to complete my 20, which took a while. sigh
Since the cake event isn’t working, will you halt the leader board til it’s fixed?
I agree with this. I think it’s unfair that some of us were unable to play the cake bake-off game for all of today and parts of yesterday. I am concerned that if this continues, it will put more of us who are unable to play at a disadvantage.
The cake event won’t let me join. It says each player can only play once per session. The problem is I haven’t played at all today. It must be a glitch I hope someone can fix this glitch. And BTW, I do agree that it can be a little dizzying while playing. I feel that I don’t have good control over where my pet moves.

I also don’t like the view in this game. I walk over ingredients, but I don’t seem to collect any of them.
