The DIY Design Event starts today on Webkinz Classic and runs until Monday, May 10!
Log in to your Webkinz Classic account and look for the floating bottle of DIY (Do It Yourself) Dye, and click on it to get a DIY Design Ticket, piece of furniture or bottle of dye.
There are three pieces of DIY furniture you can win from the dye bottle floaty clicky (a rug, chair and window) and there are 3 colors of dye to collect (green, blue and purple). There is only one type of DIY Design Ticket, but you’ll also get one every day you log in to your Webkinz Classic account during this event.
If you combine a DIY Design Ticket with a piece of DIY furniture and dye on the Clothing Machine at the KinzStyle Outlet, you can make a new piece of furniture for your pet, featuring the color of dye that you decided to use:
On May 5, we will also be releasing a special DIY Retro Dye that will only be able to purchase, with eStore points, at the Ganz eStore or the NEW & PROMOS section of the WShop.
You can combine bottles of DIY Retro Dye with DIY furniture pieces and a DIY Design Ticket to make some new, funky furniture for your pets!
You can always check the DIY Design Guide for recipes and to learn more about this event. You’ll be awarded a guide the first time you log in to your Webkinz Classic account during this event. You will also be able to find them in the FUN STUFF section of the WShop, under BOOKS.
On Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 9), we will be having a special Mother’s Day Vase floaty clicky event! During this one day event, you’ll be able to collect Mother Day Vases and display them in your pet’s room. If you rotate the vase, it will change color so you can match it with your favorite DIY furniture!
DIY Design recipes will not expire after the event, so you can keep making furniture for your pets as long as you have DIY Design Tickets, furniture and dyes. The tickets/dyes/furniture can also be traded and sent through KinzPost, so make sure to play every day to collect as many as you can!

It’s a nice idea but it’s a shame that it has to be another floaty event. I really can’t stand sitting and staring at the screen for hours waiting for these things, knowing there are so many other things I need or could be doing. I wish the time between them would be greatly decreased. It’s especially bad since having to use the app only. It seems to break so often doing things, I can’t risk leaving the pet’s room. It gets boring after the first 5 minutes and being deluxe the thought of doing that for catching 7 makes me feel like being deluxe is more of a burden.
If you open the w shop while playing a game in the arcade, you can catch the floaty while playing the game
I don’t know why but this doesn’t seem to work for me. I remember I think Michael Webkinz saying you could do that but like I said, things seem just be always broken for me since being forced to use the app. Maybe it’s something just not working or loading right for me. Even when I just go to try and do dailies while waiting, it seems to end up where next thing I know 30 minutes have gone by and I see no floaters. It’s too risky to do anything, it ends up taking me double or triple the time when I try to do things to make it less boring. :(
One of the things I like to do while waiting on floaties is to open the wshop and sell my harvest from gardening or from my dispensers. I also like to go to the park and pick up trash for recycling. I find using the mobile app on my ipad they float much faster. Hope you have better luck in catching the floaties :)
Thanks, I do seem to have better luck when I can use the mobile app vs desktop app. Less to do on there, so it’s still boring but I think it’s having less issues. At least they seem to float more regularly scheduled.

How can we store the dyes until use? Is it only in dock?
Yes I would love to know that as I am not sure how I am going to use them and what more may be ahead to add to designing a room. Is there a way to store them? TY

Does your deluxe account expire during this month? If it does, you won’t get the gift box and points unless you renew deluxe.
