What you do:
- Print your favorite picture of a monarch butterfly from the internet on the cardstock paper. Make sure the size is almost as big as the 8 ½ x 11 piece of cardstock.
- Cut out your butterfly and trace the butterfly’s outline onto the shoebox lid.
- Cover all sides of the shoebox lid and the area around the tracing of the butterfly with moss.
- Glue your butterfly’s body to the shoe box.
Your pet will wake every morning feeling more beautiful with this bed!
Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? We’d love to hear them!
Is this a bed for our plush webkinz? How neat!
I’m gonna do this!
Oh wow I think I actually remember seeing this craft on the Webkinz site like 10 (or more) years ago!
Love it!
This is brilliant!
This is so cool!
I agree! Awesome design!
That’s a lot of colored ink. Since we’re mostly still at home, just print an outline and color it yourself, or use a page from one of those new coloring books, the really detailed ones. Could also do the floral beds.
smart idea! I know that I barley allowed to use colored ink when I use the my print which is like, all the time. LOL
Cute idea! But who owns a printer these days? Haha
‘Raises hand’
We do too, but those rising ink prices are a killer right now!
I have a printer! Just no colored ink….
In that case, you can print it in black and then colour it in yourself. I have my eye on a printer with a much easier refill system.
We do!
We have a printer and use it often.
We have one! It is pretty much always used for printing sewing, knitting, cross stitching, or quilting patterns. (We are a creative bunch here, though the yarn and fabric acquisitions {read:stash!} do seem to take over the house after a while!)
Is the Crafty Critterz trophy still a thing? I thought it was retired, but I might be wrong. Anyone know?
It is not retired. Submit a craft. If yours is selected, you’ll win the trophy.
Good to know! Food for thought!
