UPDATE: While we will not accept images that have computer generated patterns or graphics copied and added to them, participants may use programs like Paint or Photoshop to color and draw freehand. We appreciate that not everyone has a printer and a scanner and we want to make sure the contest is open to everyone.
Halloween in June??? That’s right – because this is your chance to design a Halloween Pet which will be sold in Ganz eStore in the fall. To enter first choose one of six templates provided below: Cat, Snake, Bat, Owl, Rat/Mouse or Frog. Then let your imagination run wild as you create your ghostly masterpiece. When you’re done you upload your final product to the Share Center.
The winner will receive a virtual version of their winning entry, a brand new Pet Design Trophy plus a 1 Year Deluxe Membership. The nine runners-up will receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership.
The contest runs from June 1-30, 2016 and the winner will be announced on July 15.
A few things to remember…
- You can enter as many designs as you want!
- Contestants MUST upload their work to the Design A Halloween Pet Gallery on the GanzWorld Share Center. Never uploaded to the ShareCenter before? Don’t worry! It’s easy. Just watch this video to see how it’s done!
- You can use any kind of art supplies that you want. Feel free to use markers, pencil crayons, crayons, or other art materials. Go for it!
- Please use the templates provided. Only entries with the 6 different pets will be accepted.
- You don’t NEED to include ideas for this pet’s adoption gifts (PSI & PSF), but you can draw them if you want.
- We can’t accept submissions with company logos or sports team emblems.
- Please make sure you save your images as a jpg, gif, or png.

Some thoughts on why I chose these: 1. BLB- great design, almost looks like lace, SO MUCH DETAIL, can’t believe this was drawn by hand 2. SSS- wonderful use of color and great job with drawing the skeleton 3. GCC- I love CHEEKY CATS (we need MORE) and a Halloween one would be awesome!!!, great job drawing the ICONIC cheeky cat face!!!! 4. A- LOVE the idea and beautiful color scheme, if it wins I hope it glows 5. WFF- EXTREMELY CREATIVE IDEA using existing webkinz frogs for a “frankenstein” look, love this idea and great job, 6. APR- great use of autumn colors and fun designs for the patchwork 7. MM- LOVE the name and a really cute pet, great job with the fiery paws! 8. MO- FANTASTIC job at drawing the “bandages” of the mummy- it looks sooo good! 9. CBK- Love the colors and the swirly details 10. CMC- this is really cool cuz corn mazes are really popular, great job drawing the corn and detailing the burlap on the scarecrow head. (I didn’t want to make my first comment too long but this one’s long too lololol) XD Of these I’d probably buy the Black Lace Bat, the Ghostly Cheeky Cat, or the Mummy Owl! <3
Seriously though, there are SO MANY designs and I have no idea who will get picked, I just wanted to put in my “2 cents” (or 2 KC lol) about which ones I liked best :D
Well, even if I don’t win the contest, I at least was in the butterflypurplesnow top 10, hahaha! ;) Thanks for your compliment! I’m glad you liked my design. It wasn’t the easiest thing to draw, but luckily it turned out pretty good.
OH. MY GOODNESS. I totally missed this! Man I’ve been looking forward to a designing contest, too! DARN! Maybe next time haha… :) I guess I still have a day though. The design a webkinz one was the best though! I spent waaaay too much time working on those pets. And I didn’t even make the finals! xD
Well you can’t win them all! I think you try and make at least one design for this contest though, maybe you will be a finalist this time! Even if you don’t to me it’s still really fun to just try and draw new pets in general! If you enter then I hope you at least get to be a finalist! Good luck! :)

Yikes! How on earth did June fly by so quickly?! I thought I would have plenty of time to draw some pets! And even though I have at least two days left, I doubt I’m going to have time to draw anything! Oh well. Maybe next time I’ll have actually learned how to draw. XD Though, technically, I have been drawing pets over the past few weeks; however, I don’t think drawing poodles as Disney Princesses counts. XD

Aw, thank you for the encouragement, chattyb! :) I like drawing, but when it comes to something realistic, I can’t easily draw it. (It doesn’t always turn out the way I’d hoped.) XD But, good practice makes perfect! You keep drawing as well! :) I’ll find some more pictures of Princess dresses with a fitting pet and re-imagine said pet as a Disney character (pictures of outfits help me understand how clothing wrinkles and other details work. Those sorts of thing still confuse me) XD
Oh I love Tangled too! I am pretty much a Tom Girl. I like Rapunzle she is funny and a pan. Merida I like, and that’s it. I hate Princess and The Frog. And maybe Frozen. LET IT GO LET IT GO CAN’T HOLD IT BACK ANY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I would say do what QueeenMeanie said. I would just ask a parent for help. That same thing happend to me at the design a Barn Room contest. It still doesn’t work but I left it so other ponies could win. Hope it helps! wish.

Don’t worry, anolan454! In the Deluxe Designer contest, it wouldn’t even let me download the pictures. All the other boards had “upload image” options, but not for the Deluxe Designer. I started freaking out, because I had already spent hours on the designs! So it took me a while, but I finally figured out that it was my sharecenter account that was the issue. I had to go through the process of making a new account, and the button MAGICALLY REAPPEARED! :) You might try that, cuz it worked for me :) Hope that helped a little!
