UPDATE: While we will not accept images that have computer generated patterns or graphics copied and added to them, participants may use programs like Paint or Photoshop to color and draw freehand. We appreciate that not everyone has a printer and a scanner and we want to make sure the contest is open to everyone.
Halloween in June??? That’s right – because this is your chance to design a Halloween Pet which will be sold in Ganz eStore in the fall. To enter first choose one of six templates provided below: Cat, Snake, Bat, Owl, Rat/Mouse or Frog. Then let your imagination run wild as you create your ghostly masterpiece. When you’re done you upload your final product to the Share Center.
The winner will receive a virtual version of their winning entry, a brand new Pet Design Trophy plus a 1 Year Deluxe Membership. The nine runners-up will receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership.
The contest runs from June 1-30, 2016 and the winner will be announced on July 15.
A few things to remember…
- You can enter as many designs as you want!
- Contestants MUST upload their work to the Design A Halloween Pet Gallery on the GanzWorld Share Center. Never uploaded to the ShareCenter before? Don’t worry! It’s easy. Just watch this video to see how it’s done!
- You can use any kind of art supplies that you want. Feel free to use markers, pencil crayons, crayons, or other art materials. Go for it!
- Please use the templates provided. Only entries with the 6 different pets will be accepted.
- You don’t NEED to include ideas for this pet’s adoption gifts (PSI & PSF), but you can draw them if you want.
- We can’t accept submissions with company logos or sports team emblems.
- Please make sure you save your images as a jpg, gif, or png.

who won?
The winner probably won’t be announced till next week.
I recieved the “has been submitted” emails but not the “has been reviewed/accepted emails…. I got no response, and they haven’t been uploaded! I turned in my pics yesterday, before ending time. Am I disqualified? Am I even in the contest? I made sure the files were sent to the right gallery…. Freaking out over here!
Don’t worry, they probably haven’t been moderated yet. Today was a holiday so they will probably get posted on Monday. :D
I think you should be in the contest, I’m assuming that there are a lot of people who submitted entries within the last day of the contest so Webkinz hasn’t been able to moderate them all. Webkinz also doesn’t moderate on the weekends so your designs are probably going to get moderated on Monday or Tuesday, it depends on how much time they have and how many designs there are. I don’t think there’s a need to worry though, but if you don’t get the accepted emails by Thursday then maybe there’s a need to worry (But they might be taking a break from moderating to take time to judge the designs already submitted) If that happens you can always contact them though :) Good luck!!!!

In the past Ganz have been kind enough to except late submissions, so your probably fine. And the Share Center Halloween Pet Gallery dose not get updaited on weekends.

@Codekitkat- Me too! This is my first time doing a contest, and I worked really hard on my entries. I wonder how you win…does Ganz pick, or is it based on whoever has the highest rating? I’m just kind of nervous about that, because if it is based on rating, then submitting my designs on the last day would be pretty foolish. If anyone knows, please tell me! Good luck, everyone!
Don’t worry it’s not based on ratings, there is a judging team that goes through all the entries and then decide the winners. This is the first Design a Pet contest I’ve entered, but I have entered other contests before and so far have won none. I honestly don’t mind if I lose this though! It was fun just to draw the designs anyway! :) And even if none of my designs win they’re still all winners to me! (Of course all the designs in this contest are winners in my opinion though :D) Good luck to you as well!!!!!! :D
