Hi gang! Welcome to my special Campkinz activity – learning all about Marine Biology! Today I’m going to be talking about how to earn your Friend of the Fish Badge in Webkinz World.
Earning a Friend of the Fish Badge is simple – all you have to do is adopt a fish in Webkinz World! All of your badges are kept together and you can access them through the Things to Do menu by clicking the Badges button.
When you click on Badges, you’ll see all the Badges you’ve already earned, as well as all of the badges that can still be unlocked. And if you want to know what you need to do to collect any badge, just click on it to find out. The name and description will appear at the top.
If you haven’t earned your Friend of the Fish Badge yet and you would like to add one to your Badges, or if you just want to add more fish to your family, Ganz eStore is the place to find all of the Lil and big fish available in Webkinz World.
I’ve had the fish badge for a long time as I adopted “Flo”, my Pucker Fish on July 1st of 2012. I have purchased several more fish that I have yet to adopt on my account. Maybe I’ll adopt 1 or more of them this month.
I also have a Blue Bay Dolphin, “Bollas Blu”, on my account in an underwater room, but dolphins aren’t classified as fish. They are mammals.
I’ll have to look I should have it to, I have some fish in my webkinz family.
I just went to my badge account and YES I got the fish badge, thanks Webkinz, thank you so much!! Hope everyone else is able to get the badge if you own a fish already!!
I already have this badges but I appreciate this post, especially since new users might not know what to do. I believe I have every badge you can get from adopting a pet (dog, cat, horse, bird, fish, unless I’m missing one). I have the Lil’kinz Purple Goldfish and the Lionfish (both of which I recommend).
I just checked my accounts and every account that has a fish, already has a badge. Pretty cool.
So, on the other account, I adoped a lionfish and named him “spikez” He is so cute. Pop. got my badge on my last account.
What about the badges we’ve already earned that haven’t been awarded? There are half a dozen or so that I’ve done the requirements for but don’t have the badges. Will this be addressed? Thanks, Sally ;)
Also, I wanted to say how much I’m enjoying the “wildlife spotting” events this summer. Great idea, ganz staffers!
I own 5 fish, so do I get the fish badge, or do I have to adopt another one as of today??
I don’t know either because I already own a fish also and I don’t have the badge, but with other pets for example like a dog, I have the badge for it. And I’ve have this fish since I started Webkinz, it was my first pet.
That’s odd. I have a bird but don’t have a “Friend of Fowl” badge.
What if you already own a fish?
Many of us have reported that the July Treasure Hunt stalls at the Events Calendar. Today is July 3rd and this is still happening. I am hoping that posting here on a new page will bring this to your attention to fix the glitch. :)
This has been fixed. You can either remove the last “/” from the address to complete your current session of the Treasure Hunt, or you can delete your cookies to reset it.
So glad I read your report on treasure hunt, I did not know about it, and I was able to go through the clues and received my treasure, but it did have 3 hiccups, but was able to finish the hunt.
On an unrelated note, the treasure hunt does not appear to be working. I am stuck searching for the calendar page, but it won’t tell me that I’ve found a clue.

It will work once you delete your cookies. Not just clearing cache. You could also switch browsers to start a new session.
Sally Webkinz, what if we have several fish and didn’t get the badge. Is there a way we can still get it or do we have to buy another fish?
