Hey everyone! I hope you’re all thinking about Halloween… I know I am! I kinda previewed what I’m going to be already… if you saw Sally Webkinz’s article on Halloween Candy, you might have spotted me in my outfit already — a Candy Corn Witch!

I paired the new Navy Frames, and I think it’s totally adorable! I’m definitely ready to go trick-or-treating.

Seeing as how important a costume is to the holiday, I thought I’d have a chat with the resident clothing expert, PJ Collie!

ELLA: Hi, PJ! Thanks for taking the time to chat with me.

PJ: No problem, Ella, I always have time for you. Nice glasses, by the way.

ELLA: Thanks! I just wanted to know what your plans were for this Halloween. Will you be dressing up and going trick-or-treating?

PJ: I’ll definitely be dressing up… but trick-or-treating? Halloween is one of my busiest times of year! I’ll be helping my customers pick the perfect Halloween costume… even if they show up on October 31!

ELLA: That’s awesome! What kind of DIY costume would you recommend for someone who maybe isn’t feeling the current set of costumes?

PJ: I get it…. maybe you want to do something all your own, or just want something a little more custom. A good place to start is with the top of your head! The Cowboy Hat and Desert Amethyst Hats are great beginnings to a western-style costume. Or, you could go with the Lovely Leopard Cat Cap and make a purrfectly purple feline! There’s a princess cap, a top hat, a tiara and a wizard hat… all you need is your imagination.

ELLA: That sounds great! Is there anywhere else I can get something cool to wear?

PJ: Well, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on the Curio Shop — there’s some pretty awesome wigs that show up from time to time, or even a chef’s outfit! You can sometimes find cute clothing pieces as prizes on the wheels and special activities, and if you know any of the secret clothing recipes, you can even make some yourself! If you’ve filled your berry collections, there are some really sweet clothing options as prizes in Jumbleberry Fields.

ELLA: And of course, there’s going to be the floating Jack o’ Lantern starting on October 15, which will give away some pieces from our older costumes… then you can always mix and match for something unique!

PJ: That sounds like a great idea, Ella. I think you’ve got Halloween covered.

ELLA: Thanks again, PJ!

So there you have it. What are you planning to dress your pets in for this Halloween? Let me know in the comments below.. and I hope you send all of the pictures in to webkinztrendz@ganz.com !

Until next time, it’s been real!

XO

Ella

I think that Ella looks adorable on all fours! Plus that candy corn costume is really cute :0 I think PJ is a little too old for trick or treating, sadly, but handing out treats is just as fun!

Hi Ella and PJ! I love your costume, Ella! PJ, I’m glad that you are dressing up, but I hope you get at least a little bit of time to go trick-or-treating! My pet, Wolfie, is dressing up as a dragon, and my pet, Bananza, is dressing up as the Pumpkin King.

I love the candy corn witch costume! I had it on one of my pets, so I’m going to make it her costume this year. On my other account, my cat, mew, is dressed up in the ladybug costume, my cocker spaniel, lanie, is dressed up as either a butterfly or a candy corn witch, the butterfly costume was on my pet caterpillar, green, and I don’t know what costumes I’m going to put on sassy and Clover. Most of these aren’t capitalized because I got them when I was seven, except Clover, I got Clover in March. sassy is a rockerz cow, and Clover is a clover cat. I also tried to make an owl costume, and I will try and send in pictures of costumes to webkinz trendz soon! I have so many costume ideas in webkinz, yet I have absolutely no idea what to be for halloween!

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find that certain pets look better in certain outfits. So, Halloween usually turns into a big event for me in WW because every pet has to try on every costume to see who looks best in it and gets to wear it this year. As my webbie family has grown a lot this year, this may take a while. XD I think what I will do from now on is leave their “perfect” costume in one of the clothing slots for each pet for next year so it won’t have to be such a big thing. Then I’ll mainly need to focus on dressing any new pets in costumes. What do the rest of you do about costumes in WW? (That candy corn witch costume looks awesome on you, Ella!)

@Beckinz8, That’s exactly what I do! I do the same with Christmas outfits, Easter, Winter and Summer. Then like you said, I dress new pets through out the year. It’s not like it’s set in stone. I can always change my mind, and have several times. But when you have a lot of pets to get dressed for holidays and such, it’s really nice to just click on their outfits waiting for them. “Click”! You’re a vampire! Lol

I also have several variations of the Pirate Costumes. I like the idea of adding the new Navy Glasses with the Candy Corn Witch. I also have the outfit from the Scaredy Cat video for my Black Cat.

I like to pair the Ballgown and the Glass Slippers that you can make with the Clothing machine with the Victorian Mask that you can get at the Outlet and the Queen Marie Wig that you can get from the Curio Shop.

Thanks Ella and PJ. My purple monster Violet is also dressing up as the Candy Corn Witch, but she wants to stay home and hand out the treats. She absolutely LOVES seeing all the trick or treaters , especially the little ones…. they are just soooooo cute!!! That’s what we love about Halloween!

That was my favorite part of Halloween when I was a child. I loved watching my grandfather hand out the treats to the neighborhood children. Seeing them laugh when he pretended to be frightened by the ‘scary’ ones. They are precious memories to me.
