Wow. Just wow. These drawings are AMAZING!! Congrats on getting featured, you deserve it. :D I am a terrible artist! These are like, 1,000,000 times better than my drawings!

Nice! I must say, these are all very good drawings!! Congrats on having them featured, htb97kinztagram! You have a lot of talent!! ^-^ I know his might sound weird, but uh… exactly what is Inktober? I’ve heard about it, but I’m honestly not quite sure what it is, eheh

    • _emiemiemiemiemi_ says:

Hey, Taffy! Inktober is basically this daily online challenge for all artists to draw something in ink (marker, pen, any kind of ink really). There is an official Inktober list that gives you ideas as for what to draw each day, but AATWebkinz (htb97kinztagram) made a webkinz list for people that like webkinz. So basically, you use some ink to draw something from one of the lists and then post it online with a #Inktober. I hope that helped explain it! =]

      • TaffyKitty12 says:

Hey, emi! Ah, okay, thanks so much for explaining it to me!! I heard my friend talk about it once, and I think Pokekinz mentioned it to me before at the park, but I didn’t really know what it was… but this helped a lot! It sounds like a fun challenge, I must say!! :D I’d do it if I wasn’t so lazy/busy/occasionally self-conscious about my art (and I don’t really know where I’d post it except for the SC, since I’m not really allowed to post pictures online elsewhere), but maybe someday?

        • _emiemiemiemiemi_ says:

Yeah, no problem! I’m glad it helped, heheh. Yeahh.. I haven’t been doing it either, because I’m kinda lazy.. =P If you ever did so it, you could post your stuff in the SC if it was Webkinz related. That would be pretty neat! But I don’t blame ya if you don’t do it. Also, really, don’t be self conscious about your art! I really like your art! Sometimes you just gotta tell yourself that you’re doing your best when your brain pesters you about something looking “bad.” I know from experience, though, that if you wanna get better, you gotta work at it. Drawing a couple times a week, or just once a week, really helps you get better and practice. And referencing to pictures and looking up tutorials on how to draw certain stuff has helped me a lot too. I like your art the way it is, but if you really wanna improve, that’s the kinda stuff you gotta do. =]

          • TaffyKitty12 says:

Thanks again! Ah yeah, I can definitely relate to that…. I be a lazy teen, heheh :P Hm, that’s a good idea, perhaps I could do that? Maybe if I get a chance, I can do a few of the ideas in the list and send them in to the SC? I’m sure it would be fun! All I gotta do is find the time… which I haven’t had much of lately, unfortunately. And ah, well thanks! I guess I just have these bad habits of being self-critical towards my stuff (especially towards my drawings, for some reason), and sometimes I also compare them to other people’s and stuff, and uh… well, I guess being a perfectionist doesn’t help, either. Thanks for the tips, though! I’m continually trying to improve on the little details that I want to fix, and it probably would be helpful if I take some time every few days to draw and see what I can work on. Ah, and that’s a good idea! Perhaps I can take a look at some online tutorials? (And I do agree that looking at reference picture should is a good way, I’m starting to do that with certain things like clothing and poses, and it does help) Thanks, though! It does make me happy that you like my art

          • _emiemiemiemiemi_ says:

heheh, yeah… we’ve all got that lazy teen disease.. XD Yeah, that’d be great, if you have the time! =] No prob! Yeah, it really is an artist thing. I’m pretty sure everyone has that negative self talk when it comes to art. It can be a hard thing to get out of.. I understand the perfectionist thing as well, though, cause I’m really a perfectionist myself. =P You just gotta try not to compare yourself to others and being critical to yourself. If you wanna compare, then let that motivate you instead of make you feel bad about your art. That’s good! I’ve found that taking art classes really helps too. Like, last year, my drawings of people were pretty rough. After an art class of drawing people and realistic stuff last year, and another one starting this year, I’ve really improved and my person and realistic-drawings look pretty good, I think! =] Now I’m really trying to work on cartoony stuff, like anthros (bipedal animals), now. If you ever have something to reference with, it totally helps! I’m trying to do that referencing with anthros now, so I can get better. Slowly, but surely, I think it’s working! =] I’m glad that it’s helping you too. Oh, of course! ^-^

      • _emiemiemiemiemi_ says:

Oh, really? Whoops.. =P I thought you made it for some reason. It’s definitely a cool challenge though!
