Fan Mail with Fiona: Webkinz X Edition

 

Hello my chickadees! I’m Fiona Feathers, your faithful KinzPost Courier, and I’m here with a special edition of my column that’s all about Webkinz X! The Webkinz team let me know that you have tons of questions about the newest version of Webkinz.com, so I thought I’d help out with some answers. For my previous columns, click HERE!

 

I’m missing items from my account! Where did they go? Why do some show up as grey boxes?

 

Don’t worry! Your items are still in your account– they’re just temporarily invisible. The good news? We’re working really hard on getting them all to reappear in your accounts again! In fact, we have a list of missing items (click here to see) and incomplete items (click here to see), and if you own any of these items, you’ll see them reappear on your accounts in the next few weeks. For now, they should appear as grey boxes in your room.

 

My pet is being too demanding and is constantly asking me for things! Plus, they always seem to be hungry and I can’t feed them enough. What’s wrong?

 

When Webkinz X first launched on Wed, July 8, it’s true that it probably seemed like your pet was asking you a new question every few seconds! Since then, there’s been an update that has slowed down their questions to a few per play session. If they’re still asking you things A LOT, try clearing your cache again to experience the new, slowed-down rate (to learn how to clear your cache, click here or ask a parent or guardian for help). If you’re looking to increase your Family Score, tending to your pet’s questions will allow you to fill your Heart faster and earn more great prizes.

 

If it seems like your pet is constantly hungry, on the other hand, have no fear: we’re working on re-balancing the pet care meters so that they feel more natural to your pet. This also goes for the Pet Care Heart decreasing suddenly–we’re working on that, too. Look for these adjustments to happen in the next few weeks.

 

What happened to my gardening? Why can’t I tend my crops?

 

We’ve temporarily changed how gardening works! When you plant seeds right now, you won’t have to tend to them. They’ll grow on their own, and at the end of their normal growing time, they’ll dispense the proper crop one time per harvest. Where’s the Marshmallow Collection?

 

The Marshmallow Collection icon is now on your Map of Kinzville. You can access it by clicking on your Things to Do menu and then “Kinzville”.

 

Certain places in Webkinz World aren’t loading for me or they’re freezing when I try to access them. What can I do?

 

When something or somewhere won’t load in Webkinz World, the absolute best thing to do is to clear your cache. This works slightly differently on each browser (click here for instructions). Another important thing is to check that your Flash Player is updated to the latest version.

 

Thanks for all this information, but I still can’t log in!

 

Clearing your cache and updating Flash Player will help with this, but if you still can’t get in, try re-entering your username and password, leaving a single space at the end of your password and hitting Enter instead of the Log In button. We also recommend trying a different browser, especially Chrome or Firefox.

 

I have a technical issue related to Webkinz X that you haven’t talked about, Fiona! What do I do?

 

Please contact our Customer Support team! You can fill out a ticket here OR you can email them at webkinzsupport@ganz.com. They’re dealing with a large number of tickets but will certainly reply to you as soon as possible. Remember to include as much information about your issue as you can!

    All of the hamsters have been missing from my account since Webkinx X. I had a dozen or so. I thought they might reappear but they didn’t. Where did they go? That is theft, Ganz!!! Please give back my hamsters! I paid real cash for them, not kinz cash!

      This is part of the missing items issue. They’re still on your account, just temporarily invisible. I encourage you to call the eStore at 1-888-818-8770 (9AM-5PM, M-F EST) if you still have concerns.

    I have a question, to ANYONE in Webkinz World. Why can we no longer turn on our televisions or play board games in our own houses?!?!?!? I always sat my pets down to watch Monkey & Monkey, I even watched it sometimes. It was funny!

    i have the pet of the month but when i try to do the daily activities it comes up with a box saying you must have the pet.

    My pets went from asking for things about 15 min apart or so (trying to estimate) to asking for nothing I had one sitting there for an hour feeding it and letting it sleep but it asked for nothing that whole time, this is happening with all my pets I can’t fill up hearts anymore at all.

    Thanks for keeping us updated. Hopefully the pet hearts will work better for me once the hunger and energy meters balance out. Before my pets were constantly demanding things, but now they’re completely exhausted before they ask for anything at all. Still, it shows promise. Thanks for working hard on this.

    I do not like my pets calling me by my first name. I want to tell them NO when they pop up with “I WANT TO…” Gramkins

    There is this huge blue blob over the pool in my pets yard and although you can still see the pool, there is a weird grey, see through box around it…. e-e

    I had all of my pets hearts completely full yesterday, and when I logged on today, all but one was completely empty! It’s only supposed to go down 25 percent, and they went down 100 percent. This is not the first time it’s happened either. God bless, Silvermist03

    Is there a way to play webkinz without Adobe Flash the web said it was bad so it got deleted and now I can’t access my account.
