As reported in an earlier post on October 25, v.49 had a known Flash issue causing slowness and visual errors.
Mozilla has now released Firefox v.50 which has resolved these issues. If your version of Firefox has not already updated automatically, here is how to update it manually:
- Click the menu button
, click help 
and select About Firefox. - The About Firefox window will open and Firefox will begin checking for updates and downloading them automatically.
- When the updates are ready to be installed, click Restart Firefox to Update.
I can’t update flash on safari, and chrome just quits on me 99.99% of the time, and firefox is the only one I can play on. there has been slowness when I played, so THANKS!

yup. it’s that way for me too. i discovered that because i usually use chrome for ww but in the last day or two the pen thingy i use stopped working (i have a surface pro). i know it’s not the pen itself since it works everywhere else – including the login page, wkn, estore – it highlights items and shows the hover text but it won’t accept the click so i tried edge. the pen works there but no wheel of deluxe – the prizes just don’t show up and it won’t spin.
Haven’t tried playing Webkinz on Safari though. Might try that out.
All I know is that I am NOT using Chrome, the major memory hog browser.
Huh. Weird, because Webkinz works fine on Firefox for me. Maybe Firefox ate too many marshmallows on other peoples’ computers. X3
That’s hilarious! I wrote support about not being able to load my home in windows and their answer was that their preferred browser was firefox and that I should change over to firefox! No fix, no other suggestions…. just change my browser to firefox…. which now has issues.
On Chrome the bottom area w/my pet & stuff is up over the top. I have to click the arrow to close it so that I can the area underneath. But my friend’s biggest issue are the video ads on her “free account.” They slow it down so much that it crashes. If there are floatees in WW you can forget about playing any games. It’s terrible. Who would want to go delux? I’m delux, but no matter what browser I use, I have issues with it crashing. Especially when a lot of people are online. :(
Adobe Flash will eventually be going away as web developers start to use a different platform other than Flash which I think is called HTML5. Flash Player still gets security updates but not upgrades. I believe I heard something about Google Chrome will be changing the default setting to HTML5. I hope that Webkinz is thinking about eventually changing to HTML5, too.
I would love it if Webkinz switched over to HTML5, so many issues would be solved. I think the whole site is currently running on flash. I imagine it would cost a ton of tech hours to make the switch tho. But it would be good.
and here i thought the switch over to webkinz x was, at least in part, a move away from flash. silly me!
I used to use Internet Explorer. Fire Fox said I could use that or some other web browsers. I used Google Chrome. Then I upgraded it to something faster. The fox on there is soo adorable!
I am not tech savy at all . I have FireFox and yep it’s slow. I have no idea how to get an earlier version . To be hones I am lucky to get this one loaded . CAN you add a LINK that takes US TO an earlier version that WORKS ??
OK this was so much easier than I thought THANK YOU !! I do find it still runs slow but cuts out a lot less. IF you did not add a link to the VERSION you say works I woulsd have been lost :( . AMAZING WORLD doesn’t work it just lets me know they don’t want me . I was not a paying player any ways . I guess I am not missing much. sad.
